I am looking to get a 2 or 3 inch knife for work. I dont cut through anything very tough. My friend told me to get a Sob, but i was wondering witch of these are the preferred blade. Im not looking to spend over $50 either. I want a spring loaded fold out as well.

Thanks

I think your friend may have said SOG, not sob. I could be wrong tho. Get a Gerber gator back, or a SOG tactical folder, or a Boker Magnum, or a S&W tanto swat folder.

Benchmade is pretty much the benchmark for folders, they're ugly as sin. but will fill are you're requirements. also they are push button spring loaded. if you're short on cash the kershaw are great as well, I think they look better and they have the spring assist...which is not true push button (also known as automatics), but whips it out there pretty fast. SOGs make ugly but functional folders, and I've owned some gerbers that were alright, but never much more than medicore. I doubt you'll be able to find very many spring loaded fold outs for under 100, let alone 50. you get what you pay for so I always spend a little extra on gear.

I have a couple of Kershaws and I love them. They are not the most expensive knife in the world, but for under $50.00 you can't go wrong. I just got a 1660st (I think it is called a Scallion) and it is great for clipping in your pocket. It's real low profile and light and it has a 3 inch blade that is lightning fast if you keep it oiled.

Check out Smith and Wesson SWAT folders. I have had one for about 4 years. They come in small med and large. They are usually no more than 45-50 bucks. You can get them online or at a army/navy surplus.

Good Luck

You should go with Spyderco I think they make the best small knives.
