There is really no nice way to tell him.I've had this experience once.What I did was ask him what he'd just ate and said "here have a certs".It must have made him conscious of his breath.No more B/B

Casually give him a piece of gum or something lol.. dont do it at a time like after a kiss or something that could hurt his feelings.

tell him that some toothpaste and a toothbrush go a long way
or you can just hold ur breath when he comes around
and be nice about it

dont tell him but always keep on hand mint gum and mints and offer him some thats what i do with my friends.
