i had two wisdom teeth come in about three years ago.

Now i'm 19 years old and have two more (VERRRRY)

painful wisdom teeth coming in. but the pain is longer lasting

than the last ones and they don't seem to be pushing through

the gum very well. should i go see a dentist to have them

extracted? thanks.

i had mine out at 16 before they were even protruding my gum, so yeah you should definately see someone.

theres nothing to fear, its practically painless. they put you to sleep and put you on prescription narcotics for 2 weeks. i was up and moving around the same day as the surgery and went to lacrosse practice 2 days later.

unfortunately i had dry sockets a week later, which brought me the worst pain in my life... but it only occurs to a small percentage and theres really nothing you can do to prevent it, but they give you more narcotics and a simple procedure that helps it almost immediately.

Yes, call your dentist. They are probably impacted and possibly abcessed. Meanwhile take 2 or 3 Motrin and use Anbesol on your sore gums.

Wait for a few days, the wisdom tooth pain may reduce or disappear. From http://aches.in/wisdomteeth.html

well let me tell you this, i had all four of mine took out, the tops were out and wasnt to bad, but the bottoms were impacted, and layed down, my dentist recommended i get them out, and i did, now my jaw is just starting to not be numb anymore, and it has been three years since i had the surgery. now, here is my advice, only get them out if they are painful, and pushing your other teeth, if they dont bother you leave them alone, because recovery for the bottoms are a long time, and painful. but please see a dentist, and get their advice.

If they're causing you pain, probably.
I just got all my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday and it wasn't as bad as i imagined.
