The corn is fine, but the cob can be a huge problem... They can very easily get caught in their intestines.. I would call your vet and talk to him about it, see what he suggests.. Don't listen to people who suggest you sit around and do nothing at all.. Corn cobs can cause alot of problems in dogs.. It might come out, but it might block him right up.

well, you may be entertained by what comes out!

A lot of what he ate cannot be digested.
Keep an eye on him if he eats a corn cob.

Don't feed him corn cobs on purpose, as there is the possibility of a risk to the dog that I found at at least one website. It might not bother him, but it's a risk I would avoid if possible.

sometimes if he swallowed big peices of the cob it will get lodged in the intestines and cause a blockage. This is why you should never give your dog these to chew on at all.
You will have to wait but not for too long to see if he passes the corn cob peices. If he doesnt for starts to vomit then you will need to take him to the vet ASAP!

My dad had a friend whose dog got corncob lodged in his stomach. The vet said (if I remember correctly) that it would be like a couple thousand dollars to fix this.

So the guy just spend hours massaging the dog's stomach and the cob eventually passed.

This is why it's not a good idea to let your dog have corncobs!

your dog should be fine it may get an upset tummy but that should be all unless he's alergic.
from what I've been told they grind up the whole thing in the dog food
My dog has eaten all several times and I have never had any problems

It still is not fatal. It just may be a little rough coming out.

If he is unable to defecate, then he should go to the vet, but I really don't see that happening.

Nothing, except maybe a little diarrhea or vomiting or something. He's not going to die.
