You should study only if you want to learn the language and are interested in it. You should not have to learn it in order to accommodate a large group of immigrants who don't want to learn your language.

2) continues to grow (# of speakers i mean)
3) is becoming a language of business
4) is linked to french & portuguese, so it would make it easier for you to learn the others if you didnt already know them or make it easier to learn it if you knew these languages
