I'm not being greedy. I watched an bible series on this topic and was kind of confused on what it meant. That's all...

It depends on what you mean by "great things."
We can receive God's holy spirit and his help when we live by his commandments that is "love god with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength" and "do unto others as you would want them to do to you," The Bible also tells us to "preach about his Kingdom" and what his Kingdom can do for mankind here on earth today, and after he has "cleansed the earth of the unrighteous." Matthew tells us to "put first the KIngdom, and all these other things would be added to you." These "other things" are different for everyone. What may be frivolous "other things" to me, may be very important to someone else.
The Bible gives us standards to live by (Galatians chapter 6) and when we live by these standards our lives is better and we have more of God's help.

God is a very generous individual.
He provides in abundance.
e.g.
He not only provided us with sight, but also in color.
That wasn't necessary.
We can still see in black and white.
However, He enjoys giving and does so in abundance.
