Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
- No, you'll see why in a minute.

Let's take a look at your sinner's prayer.

Dear God:
- This is a prayer, not a letter.

I know that I'm a sinner.
- Only because the Holy Spirit opened your eyes.

I deserve Hell.
- Like every other person who has ever lived. Nobody merits heaven on their own.

But You sent Jesus to die for my sins.
- To purchase God's own outright, not to give us a chance. God does not roll dice with his creation.

I believe that He died and rose again.
- Absolutely.

I ask you now to forgive my sins, once and for all.
- No you're not. You're telling Him.

I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour.
- Glory to you. If you were praying in the first place, though, would you not have already had to receive him in order to do so?

Please come into my heart and save me,
-You're telling the Lord what to do again. Do you not think that the Holy Spirit has already worked in your heart to bring you to this point?

Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life.
- The Holy Spirit wouldn't have put you in this place if he wasn't going to help you know this. Do you believe or don't you?

No, we do not accept Jesus, that is just a misguided response to what the Holy Spirit has already done for us. We RECEIVE him, and we respond to His grace. Salvation is God's saving us, not us saving ourselves. Remember that.

The way I look at it is: Jesus died for our sins. I'm just getting my money's worth!

BTW: King George Bush is the Devil as mentioned by Nostradamus; KGB will destroy the Earth with his own hands. It's true, I read it on the Internet.

Wouldn't it be queer if Osama Bin Laden and the Iranian President were actually the saviours of the Earth and the Christians were the bad guys??

Think about that one...

Yes, I was 8. That was 16 years ago, and every day has been a journey in his service.

yes- I was 11. Although my relationship was stop and go as I reached adolenscence, it has been a wonderful beacon of light throughout my adult life. God continually proves His faithfullness to me repeatedly- it is not He who forsakes us, but we who forsake Him.
