As everyone else mentioned the best thing to do is call your bank.

Some of the common reasons are:
1. Your card expired.
2. You have hit your daily limit.
3. You are trying to purchase an item that is more than your daily limit.
4. There is a hold on your account for one of dozens of reasons(which is why you need to call your bank).

I would contact your bank if I were you and make sure somewhere along the lines, since you did say you have been using it on the internet, that it's possible that someone else could've gotten ahold of it. I would call and verify your most recent purchases and then possibly request a new card. I've had to get a new one before b/c mine was being used without my consent by AOL. Just be careful and check it out! :) Also if it's not working when you swipe it it could just be your magnetic strip is dead, but if it's the internet also then i would call.

There's a hold on your bank account. Usually because of your credit card is behind in payments from the same bank. If you are or were behind in payments, the bank will give you a phone # to call. Trust me there's a hold on your bank account. I just went through that. Everything is okay now.
Bank cards don't expire.
Oh yeah, you can withdraw cash by going to the tellers only your card previledges as been revoked.

Contact the credit card company maybe your card has a defect, or If you have been doing a great deal of transaction on your card the credit issuer will put a stop on the card to avoid fraudulent transactions.

Most of all you must contact to card issuer, they can get to the bottom of it or issue you a new card.

Is it possible that the card is expired?

Call your bank and ask them - that's really the only way to find out.
