Have you tried warm tea mixed with ginger ale? The ginger is good for the stomach. A nurse gave this to my mother after surgery to get rid of the gas. Try taking a complete digestive enzyme that includes enzymes to break down gluten. I found that too much oil ( grease) does the same thing to me. Do not eat any more cabbage as this vegetable causes gas. I would write down what you are eating to see what foods are actually causing the gas. Beans also cause lots of gas.
Hope you feel better. I used to suffer from painful gas but found that greasy food and kidney beans caused my problem.

Would you believe genetic, it's a very good possibility. Another one is, lean to live with it. Get off the shelf "Bean-O"

Not all of us are the same, our bodies use foods differently but, I'm sure' since you've been to the doctor over this, you already know.
I know you don't believe me but, ask your doctor about this being genetic. I don't know if there's anything you can do. My spouse has this trouble and she walks it off, that works most of the time, we did trace hers down, two of my daughters are like her and one son, one Gran- daughter so far.

Along with the medical advice from a doctor, you should avoid starchy foods that cause gas, among those are potatos, snack chip type foods, cauliflower, beans,...do a google search on
foods that cause gas and avoid them.

You have not told the whole truth. I'd say you have irritable bowel syndrome - I have it too - but to say that doctors are all incompetent tells me you've not been to one. Of course gas-x won't help, irritable bowel is quite complex and difficult to treat. At any rate, you surely won't find a cure through Yahoo! Answers...
