then why do I always feel like there is some invisible force working against me 24/7? No matter what I do, whether I have faith or not, this has always been the case with me, as I'm sure it has been with many others.

Please, no "Satan" answers, as I don't believe in that.

Don't understand how you can "have faith" in God and not believe in Satan. The two kind of go together. But since you didn't want a Satanic answer, I would say that most fears and insecurities come from either bad influences from friends or family.....or lack of education about various things. Are you active with projects helping others or learning a new skill or subject? Idle time gives the mind a lot of time to make trouble. Ignore the "voices" . If they were really able to hurt you they probably would have done so by now. Most likely is your own fears and insecurities bouncing back off the wall at you.Good luck....

Well in that case you are ignoring the answer. Means nothing to the Devil if you don't believe in him. In fact, it makes it easier. He is the god of this world with millions of fallen angels serving him in his kingdom. He resides in the heavens and walks the earth like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He still has access to the throne of God to accuse the followers of Jesus day and night. The battle is not seen with the eyes; nor can we hear the battle with our ears. The battle is in the mind. That is where the attack is centered. It can also be an attack on the body to get to the mind. It is an invisible force against you. It is Satan, the devil, the Serpent, the Deceiver, Lucifer. He can appear as an angel of light, and he is pure evil. It is he that veils the world so they cannot perceive nor see the glorious light of the gospel of Jesus Christ that is shining on the world in this day of grace. He has sown tares in God's wheat field so that they can damage the name of the Lord and lead people away from God. These tares are false pastors, false teachers, false apostles who lead or try to lead, with clever guile, the wheat away from the true God. God could have thrown the devil and his minions in the Lake of Fire prepared for them immediately after his rebellion. God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts and his ways are higher than our ways. It is the will of the Lord that we prove our worthiness of being saved by Jesus by suffering for His name. In this fire we will be purified. Not the end of the world for a believer. He trusts in God until the end, and when gone from the body, will be forever with the matchless Savior. Oh to be true to him no matter what the opposition. He is my helper and my savior.

I like to think of God as more of an observer than an actual participant. I do not know why else over one hundred thousand people get wiped out in a Tsunami, the day after Christmas.

A parent lets their child walk or at some point, ride a bike; knowing that they may fall. As the child grows, the risks grow greater, from a baby's first step to getting behind the wheel of a car alone, for the first time. We all grow through our experiences including the things that hurt us. We let our children grow and go away, because we love them.

I do not pretend to understand God, I believe he has given me everything he is going to during the course of my lifetime. If others feel differently, they are more than welcome to. This is what works for me, I hope this helps.

Even if you have faith or not there is always a battle going on for your soul.
Read Ephesians 6:12-13
For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in high places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God's Armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
So even though there is a battle going on, if you have the Lord on your side and you put on the full Armour of God you will be able to stand firm.

I think that's just human, there are some times that everyone feels like nothing is going right. Honestly, I just try to live my life as positively as possible. I have to admit, I am not religious and I don't believe in God, but I think if there is a God that he is accepting and equally loving of all people. Why would he work against you in particular? I mean after all, you are his creation as well...

There is some invisible force working against you 24/7 because Satan wants to distract as many poeple as possible from God's truth. This usually happens when your a religious person or not. I think that the more religious that you are the more tempations that Satan will put on you because he is a deciever.

That is a very hard thing to deal with. You may also have a form of clinical depression which may be able to be helped with medication (no different than someone with diabetes taking medication - doesn't mean they don't believe in God). Otherwise, pray, try to meet positive people who help build you up in Christ, not tear you down, and keep on fighting. God may have laid some tough trials before you, and I'll pray for you to get over them. God bless.

Interesting. I've never heard the "invisible force working against me" theory.

But the Bible clearly teaches that our invisible enemy is like a prowling lion, seeking those whom he would devour.

Perhaps your faith is being tested now.

Be firm, brother. Stand in the power of HIS might. Resist the Devil and he will flee from you!

Without opposition we cannot grow spiritually. We can only learn by our mistakes. Need patients, long-suffering and many other God like traits. What ever you need to perfect you, you draw to yourself so you can perfect that human trait. If you need patients, like I do, inevitably God will send me something or someone to test my patients. Not easy, but who said it would be easy? I found out after many years of severe stressing over it and being so upset all the time that I knew I had to get over it. I found out that patients stopped all of my stress and brought me peace, only by Gods grace. For me I just had to quit fighting it and begin to say, I'll not let anyone make me feel that horrible ever again. No Satan, no evil force, just a loving God teaching us to be like Him. Gods Mercy

that force is more than likely Satan, depending on what it is you're doing. If you're doing something that isn't in God's plan for you, the consequences might not be working in your favor. But, if your actions are Godly, Satan will probably try to influence you to stop. The doubt your feeling about your faith for example, is him trying to influence to turn away from God
