i have a dance coming up and a few question on etiquette!
1) is it rude to shake somebody's hands when you are wearing gloves? (cause my outfit has clothes and i dont wana take them off every time i need to shake somebody's hand...)
2) i know u must remove your lipstick wen you eat but if every lady at da table have to do that, wouldnt that be a little... so should u excuse yourself from the table before you start eating so you can remove your lipstick or what ever it is you need removing?

Do not remove the gloves.
Don't remove the lipstick, but excuse yourself after dinner to re-apply and "freshen up."

I agree - don't remove the gloves until you're ready to eat. Not only will it be a pain, but your hands might be sweaty. Nobody likes to shake sweaty hands!
As for lipstick, it's not in poor taste to leave it on while eating. I think most people do that now anyways, especially with the new brands that don't come off easily. As said above though, freshening it up after the meal is acceptable, but not at the table.

The gloves do not need to be removed. You can alter your hand shake to more of a "kiss the top of my hand" position so maybe it won't be so uncomfortable.
As far as the lipstick, before I begin a meal, I take the napkin and gently press it against my lips to remove any excess. That way there is still some color but it won't smear while I eat. Afterwards, excuse yourself and go freshen up.

it's perfectly fine to shake hands with someone when wearing gloves. unless you're a man. women do not have to remove lipstick before eating a meal. it will just need to be re-applied when you're finished.

It isn't neccessary for a lady to remove a glove. You do not need to remove your lipstick before eating.

1) Ladies aren't expected to remove their gloves to shake hands; do remove them for dinner.
2) You needn't remove your lipstick before dinner, but excuse yourself afterwards to reapply.
