Okay, so im thinking of resigning my Suntrust computer tech job to work for Worldspan IT Engineer (Programmming) it's better pay than at Suntrust but the only thing is that i first have to go through a 3 month training. the Recruiting process states: "Review for hire with reporting manager following successful completion of training program" I am 30 years old. I am not sure if i should be taking this career risk in being "hired" and reviewed...i am not sure now if i should resign from my secure full time job or take a risk with this other job and see if i get hired after the training. Has anyone worked for this company or know someone who has ? If so, how has their exprience been? Is Worldspan a good company to work for and to get hired after the successful completion of the training program ? Any advice would help. THanks

I'd be leery - that's a real strange way for a company to hire experienced IT people, to make them go through a 3-month training period and THEN decide whether to hire them. I spent over 30 years in various IT positions at various companies, including doing lots of hiring, and never saw or heard of this type of "hiring" process. What does the training consist of? Their website was not informative on this process. If you have to pay for this training, figure it's a scam. You say see if you get hired after the training - are you saying that this 3 month training period is unpaid? Sounds really fishy to me.
