just walking on the treadmill over time should do that.

you can run and your waist might get smaller, other than that try some other leg excersises to target areas that dont get worked on the treadmill, one good thing is lunges,it works your entire lower body, but when you feel its enugh dont push yourself, you might get hurt like I did,I collapsed while on my 3rd way across a room and I ended up really hurting my leg, this was only yesterday, but its hard to sit and stuff.

This is normal for some people. The only thing I can recommend is to do strength training for your upper body to balance it out. Weight lifting is best to add bulk to your upper body.

You can't 'spot reduce' your body, i.e. lose weight in only one part. Check your body mass index to see if that's on target, if you have weight to lose do it, and instead of trying to reduce your lower half think about lifting weights to build up your upper half. Other than that, we all have a particular shape to our body that we can't alter, its harsh but that's a fact. Good luck.

How about working your upper body for a better proportion? If you want a smaller waist (I'm thinking less gut) then eat less and do crunches.

go faster and try putting it on an incline. that will give your lower body a lot of extra work to do!

jog at a pace you can hold for 15-30 minutes.
