The ONLY place you can get a truly free credit report is at http://www.AnnualCreditReport.com You will NOT need a credit card to get your report. This report will NOT include your credit score, however. If you want your score you'll have to pay for that, typically $5 or $6, and you will need a credit or debit card for that.

Have you applied for credit recently? This would be the way to get for free. Have you been denied for a job? Are you unemployed? Are you on welfare? The ways to get it for free online. www.annualcreditreport.com
If not you must mail in request with a money order for the price. The price depends on the state you are in.
You are also allowed one free credit report per year based on the state you are in.
Hope this helps

"Free credit report" is a scam. It will wind up costing you hundreds of dollars. Go to annual credit report .com. Federal laws state you are entitled to one a year. For information on what companies get from you from your SS # go to buyer scams. com. It's a new public service site, unfinished, but has a lot of information on it.

annualcreditreport.com is free and does not require a credit card.
freecreditreport.com is not really free (you have to agree to something that is free for one month if you are somehow able to cancel by the end of that month, but is expensive and automatically renewed for the rest of your life if you are not able to cancel).

If you don't have a credit card then your score is considered unreliable. You need a credit card to have good credit.
