That question has much bias my little friend. I think you've watched a little too much of "sicko" and you don't realize that what Michael Moore wants from that movie is called socialism. The same kind of Socialism that Russia had and many 3rd world countries have.
America does care for their sick but I believe you need to teach a man to fish rather than just give them the fish!

America is called the Land of the Brave for a reason. You are pretty much 100% on your own.
It is a great county if things are going your way but some little thing goes wrong or you get very sick and have no support from family it is a very hard pl ace to be.
It is a very capitalist society, that is why many people's dreams come true here but for some others it is a nightmare.
I think that is often why other countries don't understand us very well,it is hard to explain how really tough it can be to be working class and on your own in America.
If you are young and have energy you can go far but if you are old and tired it is not a good place to be.
We are a money based society and not a people based society.

The system works as follows; If you are very poor and you are very sick and need to go to the hospital, you can get medical care in county hospitals without having to pay. in california, poor people gets MediCal, free medical care from the state of california
US is the land of opportunity for those who got it made. If you are poor, you'll stay poor forever unless you have a good education and graduate from college with a degree.

Why just ask if America, every country does that. They're are socialistic programs for the sick and the poor in America.otherwise the emegency rooms wouldn't be so packed wiith illegals and people whom cant pay.The hospitals wouldnt be in the red or on the edge of closing all the time.In America they have a chance, thats why they all come here, other counrties let you die, they then say problem fixed.........Get Real!

America probably could care for thier sick and poor if we weren't also expected to care for everybody elses. You can only spread yourself so thin till others have to pick up the slack. Problem is....others don't want to do that....so they just call us bad guys instead.

You've been listening to the Liberals.
The U.S. spends billions of dollars per year of the sick and homeless. But the American taxpayer is getting real tired of footing the bill year after year for the same people over and over. And whats even worse, some of these welfare recipients have kids that a lot of times grow up to be on welfare themselves.
Americans have no problem helping those that are REALLY in need. Its the ones that are too sorry or too lazy to work to support themselves.....and their day is coming.

We are too busy sinking money into illegal aliens and their medical and schooling needs. The money that we as a nation pay out to illegals and the services they use, could be used to take care of our own people in need.

Because our government is too busy fighting in Iraq, fighting over the right for gays to get married, and blaming each other for the ineffective congressional sessions that occur than to fix the healthcare system.Until they stop allowing health insurance carriers to be "for profit"organizations healthcare reform won't go anywhere anyway.

All health care will be free when I rule this country. Doctors will merely be government workers and paid $250 per week, which I will deem as the maximum salary allowed to anyone in the non-ruling class under my new socialist regime.
