and if He created time, how is it possible that he "always was"?
Where could He have been, if God created "everywhere"?

If time always was, how could there be a beginning or end? How could there be God?
If God has a plan, and transcends time, how could he have known that he would create us (did he predict the future, without the existence of time?)
If God transcends space, where was "nowhere"? If he created physical space, where was he when he did that?

If God and time coexisted as someone mentioned, and both are beginning and end, did they create each other?

Science expresses the universe in five terms: time, space, matter, power, and motion. Genesis 1:1,2 revealed such truths to the Hebrews in 1450 B.C.: "In the beginning [time] God created [power] the heaven [space] and the earth [matter] . . . And the Spirit of God moved [motion] upon the face of the waters." The first thing God tells man is that He controls of all aspects of the universe. (2 Timothy 1:9, Titus 1:2). He dwells in eternity and is not subject to time. God spoke history before it came into being. He can move through time as a man flips through a history book.
Because we live in the dimension of time, logic and reason demand that everything must have a beginning and an end. We can understand the concept of God’s eternal nature the same way we understand the concept of space having no beginning and end—by faith. We simply have to believe they are so, even though such thoughts put a strain on our distinctly insufficient cerebrums.

Big questions! God did create the 'dimension of time' for the earth. He also established all of 'space' whether it is inner or outter. He is the beginning and the end of all things. It will never be possible to figure God out. Even His word states that He is a mystery. Although he does reveal himself to those who seek Him with all their hearts, no one can completely know Him. Truth is, no one really totally knows anyone else either. Even humans are a complex compilation of cells! Changing ones at that!

God lives in a place (the spiritual world) where there is eternal existence of transcendental time, who is ever present and without past or future and hence is not subject to the quality of passing away even for the space of half a moment.

Remember; the physical creation is only subjugated to both, time and space and God is not. Why? Because God is composed of spirit - not physical flesh and blood; therefore, time and space are not relevant to God !!!
Further; the first law of bio-genesis is this: Life must come from life. So; God being "always was" makes sense when you approach the question from this point of view. Good question, there !!!

God exists outside of time. He is not limited to restrictions that we are limited to. In biology class the other day we discussed this and my biology teacher said that life just doesn't happen. It has a cause and many people believe that God is the first cause. Scientists say that the universe came into existence and time began so in order for the universe to come into existance their must be a cause outside of time to make this happen. Science and God are not at odds.

Great question, and I dont think anyone but God Himself could explain the answer clearly. Basically, our human minds can only hold so much information....Time was created for humans, just as space and distance were created for humans...
Its all relative....

God/reality is the multi-dimensional field we are embedded in that is responsive to consciousness. Everything (at the quantum level) literally changes from one moment to the next, but the eternal now is always present, and therefore the potential for creation is always available. Our learned defensive ego always fears the future will repeat past pains so we are RARELY awake and aware of the NOW. The future (and past) is changeable but only in the eternal present timelessness.

It is hard to think outside of what we know. Just time alone is a formidable opponent to men. We spend our lives racing the clock, it seems. But you must first realize that God is a spirit, and the same laws that apply to our mortality do not apply to God. He transcends even time itself. He is alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. You cannot put those kinds of restraints on your idea of who God is.

Some really good books if you're interested in learning more about "time":
Daniel J. Boorstin's books ("The Discoverers", "The Seekers" as well as "The Creators").
"A Brief History of Time" by Stephen W. Hawking.
Oh, and YES I am a faithful Christian as well as a scientist.

I think it's understood that God transcends our time and space, therefore these questions will never be answered. It's good that you are thinking and asking questions, though. Keep it up!
(It's kind of like asking where in Cleveland somebody is when they're in New York.)
