1) What happens after finishing Army and Marine boot camp?

2)If I went to MEPS and didn't qualify for the military because of my vision ( I have keratoconus), can I fix my vision by surgical means (corneal transplant) and go back to the same MEPS station or a different one. Do they record my status of disqualification on every MEPS station in America or just the place where I got disqualified?

1. you go to work. most of the time it means you'll begin you specialty training.

2. if your problem is corrected the military will examine you but it is a case by case basis.

A history of keratoconus is disqualifying for enlistment or appointment. So, the corneal transplant may improve the condition of your eyes, but it won't change the fact that you have a history of keratoconus and that's disqualifying. Sorry, but there's no "wiggle room" and there is no waiver available. The record of your physical is a permanent entry in the MEPS' data base.

You either get shot or blow to smithereens, and they ship your mortal remains home in a body bag and if your funeral home is involved then you get placed in a coffin and your final place of rest! It's really very simple, like you!
