Well if you get your hair thinned, it will look less puffy/frizzy. And if you cut off the damaged ends then no, it won't be damaged anymore.
Also, shorter hair is usually a lot easier to manage so I reckon you'll love it.
I hope you get a nice hairdresser. Good luck!

Hey I am here for you!! I have curly hair too and a few months at the beginning of summer - it was so DAMAGED and DRY!!! I used the John Frieda 'Go Blonder' spray and it wrecked my curls. I thought my hair would never look good again!!! But luckily, you just have to use the right products. Since most curly hair is dry to some extent, I recommend using Garnier Fructis 'Detangler + Leave In Conditioner' and trust me, this works wonders!!! I put it in my hair after I get out of the shower and comb it and it honestly makes your hair SO SOFT!!! You will feel a difference within, like, 5 seconds of just how silky and soft your hair feels. Plus it is cheap!!! Also, stick to natural products. I use the 'Live Clean' line which can be purchased at the drugstore and it so cheap!! But is so nice for your hair since it doesn't have harsh chemicals. If you can afford more "high end" products, I recommend the 'Bumble & Bumble' curl defining creme. I've used it and it really defines the curls without the frizz. And a big part of the problem why your hair may not be looking its best is because CURLY HAIR NEEDS TO BE CUT. Curly hair just doesn't look good if it is not kept in good maintenance - it is the truth. Do you realize how many split ends you probably have? I'm not trying to be rude but people with healthy looking hair generally get it cut often even if it is just a trim. Trust me, every time I get a hair cut I notice how much my curls have come to life. I would also recommend getting long layers because it will add more definition to your hair. I have fairly long hair as well but cutting your hair actually encourages your hair to grow faster! I hope I have helped you somehow and good luck with your hair :)

Depends on how far up the damage goes...if you can get this style and the hair is in okay shape at this point, it should be fine. If it's got a few more inches of damage, it'll look funky. But ask when you get there and you should be able to get something you really like!

To get that type of look where its a little sleeker and your ends don't look puffy you'll want to get a good hair straightener like a chi or something along those lines. Also if you decided not to cut it a good straightener can give it the appearance of being healthy. My hair is so bleached and damaged but I always get complements on my pretty healthy hair b/c of that straightener.....if they only knew

Ask her to layer your hair and that will make it look like there is less of it but still have body where you want it. Your ends will look healthy and natural because the stylists use a razor comb which cuts hair randomly (so you don't get that blunt edge look). Have fun with your new look!

The stylist will consult with you and let you know if this particular cut will work for your type of hair. It is important that once you get the damage removed you keep up with regular trims to keep the ends healthy.

No the ends should be healthy unless the damage is that high up on your hair. Look to see when the healthy hair begins and this is the amount you will have to cut off to have no frizz or fuzzy ends....

All has to do with your hair texture, type, wave etc. Cutting the ends will definitely be the first step to ride yourself of damage.

Your hair will look allot better with the dead ends cut off, I dont know if it will be poofy or not, if it is you can always find products to take care of that. Go for it what do you got to lose, it will always grow back!!

it all depends on a couple of factors
your hair type and texture ?
if you tell the stylist to cut the damaged ends and you care for the newer ends they should be fine...just make sure you use good conditioner and be careful if you use rubberbands in your hair..
just make sure you have a good stylist and you explain to them exactly what you want. =] good luck!
