In most cases, providing the officer with your name, DOB, and SSN will allow him to look up your license and verify that you have a valid license. However, you can still be cited for driving without having a license in possession. The state fine is $10, some cities charge more but the highest I've seen is $35. Not a major ticket. Usually the officer will let you go without a ticket if you explain what happened. I would get the license replaced quickly just to avoid the hassle but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If you get stopped, you will probably get a ticket. I have included the link covering how to get a replacement license. Just click on the link.
