You can't teach yourself, you either like it or you don't, but if you need an energy boost in the morning, you should try vitamins and take some extra b-12 that should help.

I was a tea drinker in my younger days. Tea gives a jolt of caffine just like coffee, but isn't quite as bitter. If you have a cup of tea, you still have a warm drink with a little boost. You certainly don't have to have coffee to be one of the crowd.

I drank tea every morning, even after I entered the army. They always had hot water and tea bags available. But I switched to coffee when I was assigned to the 82d Airborne Division. I learned quickly there, that you brew yourself a cup of tea in one of those mess halls full of paratroopers, just once. Then you never hear the end of it.

If you want to try coffee, then go for the GOOD STUFF. Invest in a bag of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Buy the real Blue Mountain, not the blend sold in some stores. Once I tried it, I was hooked. At 30+ U.S. Dollars a pound, it's expensive, but worth it.

Ian Flemming would not allow James Bond to drink any other type of coffee.

I only like it with LOTS of chocolate added.

Bring some chocolate milk with you to work. Pour half a cup of coffee, maybe add a bit of sugar. Fill it up the rest of the way with chocolate milk.

That is my basic recipe for my cold mocha drinks. I do this at night & place the drinks in the fridge. And I have a cold mocha drink the next morning.

And it's a lot cheaper than the Starbucks mocha drinks that cost $6 for a 4 pak at the grocery store!

I dont like straight coffee either but I like a combination of 1/2 coffee and 1/2 hot chocolate. Maybe you can try it, that way you're still getting some caffeine without having to drink straight coffee :)

My advice to you is not to drink coffee it reduces your risk of parkinson's and alzeimer's diseases, heart disease, diabetes mellitus type 2, cirrhosis of the liver and gout. but coffee damages your cells bacause of it's antioxidants.Research suggests that drinking caffeinated coffee can cause a temporary increase in the stiffening of arterial walls. Excess coffee consumption may lead to a magnesium deficiency or hypomagnesemia. Please how about doing it hte right way and get a good night rest and manage your time at work well and do not spend too much time idling in order to get your work done on time. also do what you have to do when you can and not put it off for later. remember this quote "make hay while the sun shines" . please tell me if this helps you or not

I think you just have to start out with a lot of cream and/or sugar (however much makes it taste good to you) and then just gradually use less and less until it gets to a point where your coffee actually looks like coffee (instead of some sort of beige liquid!). You probably like the taste of coffee, but you just can't get past the bitterness. Once you build up a tolerance to it you will probably like it. I don't think anyone likes it the first couple times they try it.

I drink coffee but i don't do it because i feel left out. If other people think there is something wrong with me if i didn't like coffee i wouldn't care. Example. Sushi is very popular now & i can't stand it. People at my job think there is somethign wrong with me because of my dislike of sushi but i could care less what they think. You can always get vitamins or energy drinks if you don't want coffee.

Best way is to get it black and just sip on it taking little sips at a time.
Or you can add cream or creamer and sugar or sweetener to it as well.
The whole key to drinking coffee is sipping it. You don't slug it down like a Coke.

Just F.Y.I. Shace was WRONG. Here is the most up to date articles on coffee drinking. http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/news/20060424/coffee-heart-disease-risk Essentially, coffee is NOT bad for you. It has A LOT of benefits. If you want to see for yourself, go to www.webmd.com and type "Coffee Risks Benefits" in the search line.

But back to the real question. Either you like it or you don't. Don't force yourself to do something because of peer pressure. If you really want to drink coffee for your health or to wake up, use half and half with some caramel syrup. It isn't a diet drink but it sure is tasty! If you want to try a small bottle of caramel syrup to keep at your desk, you can get one here. http://www.nectaroflife.com/Iced-Coffee.htm#Torani-Flavored-Coffee-Syrups-150mL

This site also has LOTS of iced coffee recipes.
