does the Soviet Russian GP-2 gasmask protect you from tear gas or other gases other than NBC?

i know it wont do much for NBC, but what about tear gas and other things the swat team or special forces would use.

They used CS tear gas to test American equipment and it works fine for it. What use is a gas mask that doesn't do much for Nuclear Biological Chemical? I am sure it works very well for all of them.

It depends on the filter, if its an old second hand cold war surplus item then the filter is probaly shot.

It can look good but still be useless, also I have heard the Russian filters contain asbestos which can cause lung-cancer with prolonged exsposure.
