Lumber companies plant more than they harvest. If you mean old growth national forests, then you will have to find a way to keep all fires from occurring. Fires are natures way of thinning and renewing.

I think many people re-cycle and stores use more re-cycled paper than ever. Unintended consequences of saving forests also created a large amount of plastic waste that does not deteriorate.

although companies cut down our beloved trees...we can try and save the forest by taking a group of ppl every month out there in the wilderness and plant a couple trees...withini a few years...those replacements will grown big and stong
