When tablets say take with water is it totally essential you take them with water? Because i normally swallow tablets with squash, or whatever drink i have!

It doesn't matter at all which (non-alcoholic fluid) you use to swallow most medications. There are one or two like tetracyclines that cannot be taken with milk.

1. It is essential to follow instructions because only naughty people do not follow instructions.
2. I guess water contains no ingredients that would react with the chemicals in the tablet. Secondly water is absolved quickly and easier by the human body.
3. The tablet therefore has a better chance of being absolved quickly and without being diluted in any way. The right dosage and strength gets into the blood stream.

Any drink will do with most tablets. For some medicines, though, your doctor may give you special instructions, such as swallowing the pill with a full glass of water (not just a sip), because it might be harmful to you if it got stuck in your throat. Other than that, I think any drink is fine.

as long as its not alcohol while swallowing them im sure its fine coz i swallow mine with juice tea coffee any non alcoholic drink i have at hand

I don't think it matters what type of drink you swallow them with..as long it isn't alcohol!!
