I had the clearest skin EVER in highschool. I'm now 21 and my face is a wreck. It's so oily, and I literally have a new zit every few hours. Also, I have been using AcneFree (wal-mart brand proactiv) for a little over a month, and it seems to be worse than before I started. I understand it "pulls" the crap out of your face and that I might breakout mildy from it for a couple weeks, but it's been a long time now and I'm yet to see any relief. I just started a Vitamin A regimin 3 days ago. Yes, I'm aware that Vitamin A can be very toxic if over taken. I only take one capsule a day because I was told it's very good for oily, pimply skin. The zits I'm getting are large, very hard, and extremely painful. I don't pop my zits unless they're ready to explode already. But these large ones I'm getting all over my cheeks don't ever come to a head. Please give me any advice or input. I have no insurance, so a derm. is out of the question. I'm really willing to do anything & can't take this anymore

You should eat a can of chilled beets ( not pickled) every day for a week. That will clear out your liver and clean up your face. If you still have issues then let me know and I will tell you the next step. Do not use honey or oatmeal or grains on your face.

The beets will clean out your colon as well so dont be scared of any changes in BM's

Accutane is great if you want to have thin aged looking skin when you are older...like 40. When I say thin......I mean it will just come off when you get your eyebrows waxed. Ask around. I cant believe a nurse would give accutane as a possibility.

Hi,

I know how you feel. I had acne when I was 13, and I felt quite insecure about my skin. Now I'm almost 16 and my skin is almost completely clear. My methodes: No,anti-acne wash thingies or something like that. Just use water under the shower and gently rub your face. For the oily part, I still have that to. You can buy a daycream for that to prevent oily spots but the good ones are often expensive. I suggest you use facial blothing tissues from the body shop. They're small tissues and you dap your face with them and they absorb the oil. For preventing, I suggest you go see your doctor. I did the same and I got so called "clyndamicine". You use it twice a day, by dapping your face with it. (It's water with antibiotics and alcohol) It works wonders. Good luck!

Hey, I know how you feel. I had clear skin when i was your age and now im 29 and what you described is what i have. I use 100% pure tea tree oil at night after i wash my face. Apply it with a q tip because it is very potent. It helps with the pimples that feel like they are huge under your skin but dont surface, the ones you can't even pop. As a cleanser i use aveeno, although i just stopped at walgreens and purchased purpose from johnson and johnson. Go on herbalremedies.com and look up acne. The less ingredients your putting on your skin the better!! Let me know how it works out.

The worst thing you can do is keep applying medicated washes and creams on it....i had the same problem and i noticed when i take a wash cloth and put the hottest water on it my face can stand.....ring the excess water out and wipe your face with it....the steam will clean out your pores and the water wasehs it....this does work but you have to minimize make up as well...a lot of make up produced extra oil on your face....clean and clear has a great product called oil absorbance sheets....you press hen on your face and they pick up all the extra oils on your face...you even see it. Its about 5-7$ for them but its worth it.....try these methods an hopefully your face will be crystal clear in a week or so...

try using Noxzema or Clean&Clear microscrub cleansers. Wash your face with it twice a day, and after washing wipe your face with some rubbing alchohol.(available at the dollar store) then take some cheap dollar store lotion and give yourself a little dab, enough to cover the thumb, and mousterize your face. ive had the same thing and so does my friend, but i did this and now its a lot better. plus it might be streess from bein a grown up

in my own opinion and experience, just wash your face up to four times a day with good soap that has no perfumes. Dove for example is good. The problem is, you are getting dirt in your pours which is creating the acne. You may have changed jobs or something in your life which results in getting dirt airborne or just on you. Keep it clean.

Take care,

Billy from NJ

ask a doctor about accutane, sounds like you have developed cystic acne.
