There is a "best if used by" date, which means just that. Even though it doesn't spoil, the flavor changes, especially if not kept cold.

It depends on what kind of beer, some beer gets better and stronger with age. Something like budweiser or similar macrobrews which are pilsners and lagers would not get better with age(not that they were good in the first place). It really depends on what kind of beer it is.Certain beers take longer to mature than others.

I had two 1990 cans of miller beer from the Harley ann.90Th. so i though I'd taste one (Hot) stored Change a bit SOURED!! lets say DIDN'T TASTE RIGHT should go That far!!! the 90th was 1993... so don't drink it/ use it clean out drain lets say a month after expiration date...

It may not go bad, but it certainly won't be as good after that date.
