Don't give in to it!

Kitty needs to learn that her food is her own, and your food is your own. It's a mistake to start giving cats and dogs 'human food' - they learn to expect it, they stop eating their own food, and then start to become fat and ill.

Continue to resist feeding your cat your own food. This is likely to be a behavioural thing - she will learn eventually that she's not going to get anywhere, and will stop hassling you. But you have to be consistent and not give her ANY human food, so she learns.

It's fine to treat your cat occasionally with food of course, but make it proper kitten treats, not things from your own table.

Is she 4 months or or 10 months old? In any case, when you eat, it is only fare to put your pets into another area of the house until the food is put away. Human food isn't good for a cat unless it is just the meat and then only if you have not seasoned it at all. Garlic and onions will kill a cat. Also, when it eats your food, it won't go back and eat its own and they need the proper nutrients that is in their food.

If your kitten is not being fed enough or the right food, it will always want some of yours too. Cats need real meat so give them canned food and not dry kibbles. Dry kibbles were invented by people for the convenience of people's lifestyles and you would never see a cat go hunting for dry kibbles if it was outdoors. They hunt meat because they are obligate carnavoirs - 100% meat eaters. They get all their nutrients by eating the entire carcass of the animal too so if you want to give it some real meat, include the bones and the head and organs as well and feed them raw so that the nutrients aren't cooked out of them for the sake of the cat. Or just put them into a room with their own good brand of moist cat food while you are eating. Feed them continuous food source until they are a year old and then gradually get them into a 3 x and then 2 x times a day following the amounts on the can.

This could be an attempt to establish dominance. As you continue to rebuff her efforts, she will eventually get the picture that she's not getting your food. If you have to, shut her up in another room when you are working with food or trying to eat.

I feed my cats table food and they don't have any health issues as a result. It is the same with my dogs. I haven't found a food yet, that my kittens don't like.

Each to their own though.

Put her in another room with the door shut when it's meal time, or outside...don't give her table food at all, when she gets hungry enough, she will eat her cat food.
