I have black hair, and i want to dye the bottom part (underneath) blue.
is this a good idea?
Has anyone experienced problems with blue hair?

the only problem you will have is that it fades fast because its a semi-permanent dye.. so you have to constanlty color it about every 8 washes... if your gonna dye it blue get a paul mitchell blue it more viberant and the color lasts longer but you would have to go to a salon to get the color ... and also if you wanna dye the blue another color in the future your gonna have to dye it black or bleach it fo a long time... oh and if you cant get your hands on the paul mitchell color ues manic panic its better than all the other crappy dyes out there

I have done something very similar before with blue, and my hair is dark dark dark dark brown lol but not exactly black, I didn't have any problems with it. But if you want you can put a little on your hair and see what happens so if the next day it gets messed up or something you won't have a whole lot of blue to fix.

I like blue in black hair, highlights or underneath, not heard any problems but have it done proffesionally

Okay, I am the weird little emo kid, so of course I think it would look great and super cool. I totally think you should do it, I love people who do weird stuff to their hair. I'm getting my bangs dyed green, yay! I'm totally for you dying your hair blue, as long as you're not a prep, preps hate that kind of stuff... But I think it's super awesome!!!!! DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! As long as you don't care much about what people say (because people will say stuff about it) you should dye it. :3

Sounds good to me. I think it would look cool. But check your school rules b/c this girl at my school dyed her hair different colors like every week and she got in trouble.

OMG! That would look so cute. I would personally do pink under my blonde hair. But blue under black is way hot!

I've tried it, and I've seen people with it. It looks great. And if you don't like you can always change it. Go for it.
