barbecue sauce made with tequila?

When I was younger , a friend showed me how to make a
simple sauce with barbeque sauce and tequila. After you added the tequila you would cook it out of the sauce over the stove. It was yummy, but I can't remember how to make it.
Does anyone have a recipe that would help?

Start with barbecue sauce.
Add tequila.
Reduce sauce until it's thickened.

The resulting flavor will depend on which barbecue sauce you started with, and how much tequila you added, but the former wil be more important than the latter.
