She is poo-ing uncontrollably. I feel horrible for her. Is there a natural remedy I could give her to harden up her stool a bit? She isn't acting sick. Just very nervous. (She knows she isn't supposed to poo on the floor, but I know she can't help it) I am giving her lots of water. She was born in May. Any Ideas? It is just too hot to keep her outside so she can get it all out. I have such a weak stomach lately when it comes to poo too...

She has been vaccinated. She is not vomiting, and there is no blood in the stool. Just poo. She still has her energy too.

My mom is a dog breeder of Dobermans - who are knows to be a bit nervous at times of high stress and they would have liquid missle poo!!!! EWWW!
Anyway, we would always withhold food for up to about 36 hours and make sure they had plenty of water and were outside (weather permitting of course) You can give them a little kaopectate as well. Dogs and Cats: 0.5-1.0 ml/pound by mouth every 4-6 hours. Treatment should only be needed for 1-2 days. If the vomiting and/or diarrhea persists for more than 48 hours; the pet has a fever, is depressed or shows abdominal pain; or the pet does not continue to be active and alert, contact your veterinarian. Further treatment may be needed.
Once the stools begin to harden up a bit then feed her white rice (sometimes with a bit of beef or chicken broth mixed in for both flavor and nutrients)
For some reason if it hasn't stopped in 2 days - then a vet is needed or of course if there is a fever present - remember doggie temps are taken in the pooper! Proceed with caution ;) If you have any other questions, email me and I will call her for more information or anything. :)

Just because she has been vaccinated, it doesn't mean she doesn't have parvo, especially that young. The best thing to do is take her to the vet. Diarrehea can kill a dog if not taken care of. It's very unlikely you are putting enough water in to make up for what is coming out.
You might want to try taking her temperature. If she has a fever then you should take her to the vet immediately, because she probably does have parvo if that is the case. If she has no fever though, my vet did tell me when my puppy had an upset stomach one time that I could give her a teaspoon of Pepto Bismol, so you might want to try that, it might help. If it doesn't, then take her to the vet ASAP.
Poor puppy, I feel sorry for her. I hope that she gets better, I know this can be scary. Good luck.

Vaccine reactions can be considered any type of adverse event stemming from vaccination, including granuloma formation, but most commonly the term vaccine reaction is used to describe a type I hypersensitivity reaction. The most common signs are facial swelling and hives, but more rarely very serious signs such as hypotension and collapse may occur.
Honey, click to the link below to find out what ever diseases there are and rush your dog to the veterinarian without delay. Wish your pit a speedy recovery though.
Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

pit bulls are pedigree dogs, and most pedigrees have nervous stomachs, what i suggest you do is feed her boiled rice or macoroni, dont put any cheese on it feed this to her as is. we had a collie dog once and if she were to eat human food it would give her the runs,my vet told me to do this and it did the trick.do not keep the dog in the hot weather! let her drink water ,and lots of it because it will hydrate her since shes got the runs.if possible keep her in a cool room and put papers on the floor to keep themfree of poop. i know what youre going through! good luck.

Has your dog been vaccinated? She could be displaying signs of Parvo.
If this continues she needs to see a vet in the meantime starve her for 24hrs and give her weetabix as it binds everything.

A natural remedy is canned, plain pumpkin. You want the plain kind and not the sugared pumpkin pie filling variety.

I'd withhold food for a max of 24 hrs. If that doesn't help, then you need to seek treatment from a vet

You need to get her to a vet just incase it's serious.
Canned pumpkin works well to harden stools.

I would be vry concerned about your pup having parvo- I would not wait another minute- I would take your pup to the vet NOW. This can be a very deadly disease- do not wait.
