Drink lots of water to try to prevent this in the future. Learned that the hard way. I had that problem a time or two long ago and I actually stuck my finger in and, uh, broke off pieces until it got small enough to come out on its own. Definitely no fun! You might try a turkey baster full of water. Squirt some water in to soften things up. I did try that, too, but it didn't work as well as my finger. I've never tried the over-the-counter stuff (Ex-Lax, etc.) so I don't know how well they work, if at all. But drink lots of water so this doesn't happen again.

The inner lining of your rectum is dry, and therefore it makes it harder for the fecal matter to come out easily.
You can go to the store and get a suppository, or you can use just plain old Vaseline. The suppository is a little less of a mess, but the Vaseline works just as well.

Dulcolax has a suppository you can buy over the counter..you have to push it up in your rear, but believe me it works! I had a similar problem after my C-section with my last child.

go get a fleets enema at any pharmacy or wal mart type store it will add moisture to the stool to soften it and that will do the trick. you need to drink more water and add fiber to your diet to avoid this in the future hope that helps!

If the vaseline doesn't work, a sliver of glycerin soap up the butt will impel you to push your dirt out
