Overrated most certainly not by those with enough life experience to realize sex for what it is.

For teens (and I suppose some pre-teens nowadays) very much so. They don't even know who the hell they are let alone share their bodies with others. I would suggest there that the majority of these kids are trying to be adult like and believe they are being cool. But many fail to take into the consequences of not just becoming pregnant or getting an STD but also of how it may very well effect their self image and reputations now and later on in life. Sorry for the rant.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. It can become mundane but it can also be very fun at times. I think that it's very important in a strong relationship/marriage though. It's important to have intimacy to keep a relationship going. As long as sex isn't the primary focus or purpose of the relationship, it is very important.

No. Sex is a very beautiful act that is shared with two people who love one another. (Well, that's the way it should be anyway).
When two people are genuinely in love, its special and nice.
