The common cold cannot be passed on to birds..but the flu can.

NO they can't, I have a room full of parrots and not once have they gotten a cold or flu from me. You can get a disease from them but it is rare. Do research and join a maccaw yahoo group. You will learn all kinds of neat things.

yes, it is very possible for birds to catch the human cold or flu. if you or someone in the house is ill, it may be best to stay away from the parrot until you are recovered. a cold can affect a bird alot more worse than it can a human, possible even causing death, try and keep the sick people away from the bird if possible.

yes and sometimes the bird is more ill than u . got to ur doctors and make sure u are far away from ur bird

yes ,parrots can catch colds and flue from humans very easy,bye letting them eat from your mouth and kissing there beaks etc...

Yes, says my vet, birds catch more from us, than we do from them, and they are susceptible to cold and flu viruses.

yes you can but only by allowing the bird to get real close to your mouth or when you cough or sneeze,, be extra carefull when you are close,,,good luck,,,,,,,,,,
