I think there are some Westerners that hate Muslims and Arabs, but most of us don't. I think the problem is that the new from that area of the world, since at least 1948, has always shown Muslims in a bad light. Of course, the behavior of the radical fringe does not help.

I hate that I have to be a Muslim or die as an infidel, anyone who believes in this should be killed. That is my only quarrel with some Arabs, Muslims and/ or Middle Easterners, I do not impose my beliefs upon them and they should have the same respect. When I see the countries over seas on the news or online, I think that these poor people have little to no access to education or "open" libraries, they are controlled by their religious leaders and sometimes their own government. I find this very tragic and believe that their hate stems from the ignorance that is propagated over there.

Yes we do. Well, I don't, but most westerners do. The programs you watch are the American government agents making it look like we are kind and peaceful, yet it is totally the other way around. The others are people that truly want to help people, but they are few and far between. Ever since 9/11, which was totally political (they wanted America to stop pissing on the Middle East) but portrayed as a religious endeavor, people have wrongly feared and hated Muslims and the Arab.

No Mohammed, they don't .... but they do hate being 'dictated' to and 'told' that if they don't fit in with a certain type of thinking, or dress differently, or act differently then they are 'infidels'.... as a non-practising muslim, now a pagan, born into a free world, a democracy (unknown in the muslim world) I would fiercely fight to keep my freedom and independence - whatever the cost.... having enjoyed the luxury and freedom to think independently, act and dress indepently and only thought of as an individual, not a sinner against god for the whole of my life I would rather die than give in to any form of dictatorship, religious or political .....
(although that dividing line is becoming extremely thin and frail) .... I do, without meaning to cause offence, believe that the practice of the religion of your choice, is exactly that - your choice - if you choose to practice an archaeic form of living, then you can do that - in an archaeic country .... don't bully a democratic and free-thinking country and people into conforming with your views ..... those who do not agree with the western world's ways should not stay here and abuse our generosity ......

I can't speak for every Westerner, but I do not hate Muslims or Arabs. But don't think that Westerners don't hate. I think that every race, religion, and so forth have good people and bad people. Alot of the hate here is because of ignorance. Sometimes people judge what they don't understand.

Many westerners do hate Muslims because of 9/11 and other terrorist acts carried out in Allah's name. But these people who do hate Muslims don't know any.

Here in the US, most people know nothing about Muslims or Arabs. This makes people open to wartime propaganda, which often includes bigotry. It is very sad.

I am a Christian, so I try not to hate anyone. I have been trying to learn all I can about Islam so that I can understand what is going on in today's world.

Salam!

Watch our soldiers in action if you wish to really dig deeply into who we are. We fight ferociously to defend ourselves and our loved ones. We hold our freedom to be dear. We share with the world as no others have or can.
There are some bad people in every culture. Those are dealt with according to the law. We have not invaded and then allowed destitution to remain. Our forces are continually trying to rebuild for the good of the innocent. Mosques are even declared out of bounds out of deference to the beliefs of local inhabitants. The smiles with which our children greet your children are genuine.
And let us not forget that the forces are populated by Muslims as well as Christians. These men and women want to return home, but they are bound by duty and honor to see their task to completion. Many who return are scarred by the ravages of war, for it is a most repugnant thing to attack and kill under any circumstance. When they come home our soldiers are welcomed warmly and shown our utmost gratitude for their service to us and the world.
The oil wells and land of the middle east are still in the middle east. Islam is still the religion of the area. No corporations will go bankrupt if the war were to suddenly stop.
Your enemy is in your midst....and you do not recognize him. Look closer to home.

I don't hate anyone. I just tend to hate the things they do that interrupt other people's lives. I know some wonderful Muslim people. They are like my other family. They live in Egypt.
