In spirit and truth is correct. I would add, worship God in the way He approves as found in the Bible.
Using reason, we can state 3 things:
1. Everything God has done or made shows order.
2. There are 10,000 religions claiming to be Christian. 700 kinds of Baptists alone. All of these can't be correct.
3. An orderly God would have spelled out the one way to worship Him in the way He approves. A little study to find it and a little more to cut through the jungle of pretenders and we can find the one.

Usually, I don't read the answers before I answer, but for some reason I did this time. Martin S is the best answer, he tells you how and tells you why. Can't get any better than that, but N9WFF has some good advice. Get rid of the Budda. He is a cute little fat fellow, but God comes first and he tells us he is the only one, and to get rid of the other guys. You may not be worshiping him in your eyes, but just to admit that he is, is telling God that you are. Try praying about it.

Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is within. His words have given me peace and love and understanding. I have no fear. I do not await death and the great "examination" . Seems to me that religions all teach "how to get to heaven" when they believe the Bible as being literal, when it's really all about spiritual (personal) growth. Nothing can shatter my faith, for it's taken a life time to develop in me. What the Baptists teach, what the Catholics teach, what the Mormons teach, what the Evangelicals teach is all really a reward system, is it not? I prefer to "go" it alone, because it's personal. I'm living in this world and really don't want to think about interpretations from "Christians". They seem to be running scared, not me! I sense a lack of Jews contributing in this forum . Why is that?

best way to worship god..... well u have to decide but whatever u do it should come from ur heart. if u want to worship god truly then one thing u should do is total surrender to the wishes of almighty, along with loss of all ego. also along with that doing ur work truly & honestly along with respect for everythig created by god.
and last but not the least dont ask for anything return ffrom god for worshipping him but thank him for everything u have got from him.........this i feel is the best way to worship god.

nobody else can tell u the best way for u to worship god...
this is for u to decide... which way gives you the most spiritual peace... whether its talking to him.. or singing hyms... or silently remembering him in ur heart.... u have to decide which one gives u a spiritual experience.... dont worship to show to others... worship only to get a spiritual high... it doesnt matter how u do it...
what matters is that in whatever u do... u feel the presence of the supreme being around u...

The best way to worship God is to pray. To ask God for enlightening, to ask God to bless people in this world especially in Israel, to confess your sins in front of God and to ask for forgiveness.

I do not worship GOD as that is a christian identity.
my worship is private, from my soul, truthful (as I never lie to the entity I pray to), honorable and total surrender, with love.
My moments of worship are totally private, devoid of cell phones and others around me. My connection is singular when I am in meditation, asking, seeking, loving and giving.
I find, that is when I get the most peace.
