You're confused. The "Gospel" of Barnabas that Muslims use is from much later than the EPISTLE of Barnabas, which is pseudographical and dates back to the second century. It was written in Alexandria.
The Gospel of Barnabas was NEVER accepted as canonical. It wasn't even mentioned in any writings until the sixth century. Gee, wasn't that around the time that Mohammed lived?
I think you need to do a little bit more reading on the subject, preferably from non-biased (READ: Not Christian, and not Muslim) sources.

the gospel of barnabas is fiction, made up probably for money since we know that the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil, 1st Timothy :6,10 it is not inspired writings, as most theologians agree on this. This is just another attempt by the devil to take the glory away from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who died on a cross for us, he shed is blood so that we might live in eternity with him someday, all we have to do is be born again as in John 3:3, if you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour just pray this simple prayer believing, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen.
