Hi Isolde,
Well, if so be the case, then what constitute Godhead then according to the Paul? And again if it is so, if it wasn't Paul who introduced Trinity into Christianity (cos that's what history has proven), via the outcome of the Nicene Council at in the early 4th century CE, then who intoduced it? Up to then, Christianity also included the followers of Arius a presbyter who believed that The Father and The Son are SEPARATE and DISTINCT, a MONOTHEISTIC understanding.

Yes. There has been allegations that Christians borrowed the Trinity from pagan sources.

Is there a trinity in the bible?

Yes:

I found this,

Harper’s Bible Dictionary

Baal / Bel ,

“Baal translates into English is Lord”
(Do you worship the Lord?)

Baal is the offspring (son) of El, (Hebrew for God)”
(Do you worship the Son of God?)

Baal is worshiped as a triad / trinity.”
(Do you worship a trinity of Gods?)

(Do you worship Baal?)

Where did I hear this teaching recently?

Sounds like a teaching of Satan, What do you think?
Satan is a liar, not a copy cat.

Who is fulfilling this prophecy?

(Jeremiah 23:27) 27 They are thinking of making my people forget my name by means of their dreams that they keep relating each one to the other, just as their fathers forgot my name by means of Ba´al.

(Psalm 83:18) 18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Even if ‘Sam’ is a Grandfather, Father, and Son, Sam still has only one will, unless he is mentally disturbed or Sam is three different individuals. Sam Sr., Sam Jr., & Sam III.

It is by God’s will we have salvation.

Paul did not teach a trinity:

Context is everything. (1 Cor 11:3)

This is written +/- 30 years after Jesus the Christ was resurrected.

So context is not about when Christ was on earth, but was the current relationship between God and the Christ.

Jesus is the Christ, The Christ is Jesus, they are one and the same.

1 Cor 11:4-10, shows that while on earth in the Christian Congregation,

Man is 'Head' of Woman, The context is not talking the about furture relationship of man and woman, because when they get to heaven they will no longer be a man or a woman, but a spirit creature.

Even then they will not be the same person, only united in purpose.

2nd, it shows the relationship Jesus has to man. While on earth and even when man gets to heaven, they will not be equal in power, nor will they be the same person.

3rd The Christ or Jesus, is not equal to his God and Father.
They are united in purpose but not equal.

The context shows the relationship, Man, Woman, Christ, and God may be united in purpose,

But they are not the same person or being.

Everyone from Jesus down to woman, and children are in subjection to God.

2 Cor 4:4 says that if you believe the glory of Christ is greater than an image, Then you are being blinded by Satan.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

(Romans 15:3-6) . . .” 4 For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

None of those religions had anything even close to the Christian concept of trinity. The four examples you gave are all of different sets of three separate god's. The trinity is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God in three Persons. It is a concept that is totally foreign to these ancient pagan religions that you brought up, and so your argument is completely invalid. It was a nice try though.

In the Bible, Genesis, 1:26, God says let US make man in OUR image, Even though the word trinity isnot in the kjv of the bible its been around since the beginning, Jesus says in the new testament on more than one occasion that he was around from the begining and in the 2nd verse of the first chapter of Genesis we see the spirit so it was all there from the begining. It wasn't Pauline's trinity, he was an expert on old testament writings and new all of this from the beginning, now I must ask if you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, he died on a cross at calvery for you, he was a perfect sacrifice for our sins, his shed blood redeems us to God, if you would like to become a child of Jesus and enter the Kingdom just say this Prayer believing, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Paul never mentioned the trinity in the Bible. He did mention the term Godhead.

Um...so what's your point?

And, just who was "Pauline"??

PS: FYI, a "triad" is not the same thing.
