Praying for the person would be the better option. Telling someone they are going to hell and quote a bunch of scriptures if I were a non believer I would kick you out of my house. That is no way to go about bringing a non believer to Jesus. Being a Christian you shouldn't judge or damn anyone... Also we all have our own opinions let people believe what they want it's their choice...

Option #1 Go love the "hell" and pray for me way over by there by yourself and option #2 won't be necessary.
Option #2 Keep quoting scriptures to me and I will kick the living "hell" out of you. Leave me alone!

Ugh... neither.
Just let everyone believe (or don't) what they want and get over it.
The world does not revolve around Christian vs. Atheist disagreements. Why do you and the thousand other people that are always starting up these pointless questions about religion and lack thereof think that anyone actually wants to read the same dribble over and over again.

...prayer first, for the Holy Spirit needs to prepare the way...then when the time is "ripe" God will give us what to say and when to say it...it may take one visit or could take a very long time...but do no despair....I once witnessed a hard core, Viet Nam vet go from cursing God to accepting Jesus with humble tears in his eyes in the course of about a half hour...absolutely breathtaking experience

I used to be Athiest, you are going about it the wrong way. people want to believe in God they just can't wrap their minds around the concept. Get them to explain to you how there isn't a God and the proof they have. Don't dispute their proof and then say... give me a couple of days to get back with you... those are some really good points and I want time to look into that. Then go and do research and come back with evidence that they are wrong and they will be. Christians feel they have to have all of the answers up front so they learn the bible and think others will accept that knowledge. Don't limit yourself the the bible... if they use science... show them how science doesn't explain different things. It is arrogant to think we have all of the answers they are looking for. Show them how their questions are answered by the meathod they are searching for in different texts and then show them that what they are looking for is in The Book.
God Bless

I would say option #2. Jesus was our example. He was a friend, helped physical needs 1st, such as feed the poor, heal the sick, bring the dead to life, lift-up the lowest of the lowest. Another word that describes Jesus is servant, one that serves and mission ties right into servanthood to God. Be someones' friend 1st, don't judge them, minister to their needs, let them see how you live your life through God and just maybe they'll want what you have (if it's happiness living through God in you) therefore you can show them the love of God and release them from Satan.

Respect them and allow them to have their own beliefs. They may not want to brought to Jesus. And who is to say they are a non believer? They may believe in something different than Jesus, nothing wrong with that.
