Hiya, they are the same as UK road signs.
I found this website for you:
http://www.cbrd.co.uk/reference/international/france.shtml
It explains any differences in signs.
And also this site, which gives a clear picture of the sings you will see - and what they mean:

Also, just in case you didn't know, when you leave a town, there will b a red line going diagonally crossing it out, I thought it was vandals! Then I found out it actually means your leaving the town.
Have fun in Dorgogne, and make sure you have some Euros in case you end up on a toll road or have to pay for a bridge.

Like most countries, France uses international road signs. If you look at the ones from your own country they will be the same although the language is different.

The only difference from the U.S. is the stop sign. The international stop is a red triangle with a white border stripe. Hard to tell from the yield sign. Best bet is to stop rather then assume it is a yield. Other than that, the signs are all standard around the world.

The same as ours, they're a European standard. You might find this site helpful:http://www.drivingabroad.co.uk/content.aspx?page=french-warning-signs&navid=46
