Islam teaches peace AND war.

If one feels an outsider in a strange culture one is tempted to look for a sense of strength in their culture.

Once the search begins in Islam it is easy to find the 300 passages of Qur'an commanding violence.

It is easy to find the violence in the life of Muhammed contain in the most authoritative biographies of the prophet.

These are some reasons it is logical to be concerned about Radical Islam.

Do you know who Fred Phelps is? If he's not the most angry person in America I don't know who is, and he claims that everything he espouses comes straight from the bible...and so do his followers.

Most radicals, regardless of religion, are usually angry and ignorant. They are called from the poor, neglected and angry masses...they are easily led because they are promised a better life for themselves and their families. Look how Hitler was able to take over Germany just by telling the German people it was the Jews fault they were in such a bad situation and by promising them better things once the Jews were eliminated.

I think what you may be referring to is the fact that they are going into the prisons of America to make converts. They appeal to the violent and disenfranchised, lying to them and making them to believe that they can commit crimes in the name of allah and receive a better life in the afterlife as a result. This is how we got the famous "shoe-bomber." Outside of that, they begin brainwashing their children at an early age showing them violent television shows that preach hatred and intolerance for the Jews and for the Christian west. By the way, this is all established fact, not hype or slander.

It's not that radical Islam that attracts such people but pretty much every fundamentalist religion and even a lot of secular quasi-religions like communism.

Explain what attracts people to those and you'll have your answer.

No, Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him was a great man and taught peace and respect. The human beings are no where close to Muhammad or any other one of our Prophets of Islam. You cannot blame our religion for what some people do even though they claim they do it in the name of Islam. By the way, if the U.S hadn't invaded the Middle East on false pretenses, things would be much more calm.

You should have seen the horrible e-mail I got the other day from a Christian I offended on this site! The guys was scary nuts!

I think that Religion in general attracts people who are fearful, and fear and anger often go hand in hand.
