I was told this by some people once, they didn't want an acceptable debate even though I rebuffed every fact they gave me, they kept throwing back the same used out tag-line, there is irrefutable proof.
So, I like to see this proof. What I know about evolution is...
1. Not all scientists say that it's the only way.
2. It is less probable than intelligent creation.
3. The people on Yahoo Answers (sometimes) and certain Archaeologists, refuse to acknowledge the growing proof of creation.
Here's what I know about creation.
1. God could have used evolution to create the world.
2. It takes less faith and more love to know that God created the world and He is in charge, than too believe man is on his own.
3. Sometimes, creationists look crazy in the eyes of atheists only because they refuse to acknowledge anything about us other than out religion.
So basically...
1. It is harder to cling to evolution
2. God created the world.

You're answers calling me a liar continue to prove my case.
You're also confirming the bible scriptures saying you'll be persecuted for you're beliefs.
Anyway, ALL the predictions in the Old Testament came true. For example.
Look up Ezekiel 26:3-21
Basically this prophecy spells doom for Tyre. Now if you don't know, during Ezekiel's time, Tyre was the New York, basically. A big and powerful city and one of the world's most important trading centers. Any body during that time would have laughed when they saw that, so a lesser person would have spelled doom for a weaker city.
But sure enough, the city was built on an island, the king of Babylon attacked, and indeed it became a place for fisherman to dry their nets.
This is just saying it bluntly.

You are so right on most of your points...the only one that I have issue with is 'God could have used evolution'...yea He could have but He didn't and the fossil record is proving that of all the varied kinds of animals that we have today...they SUDDENLY just APPEAR in the geological column. Thus we have the Cambrian Explosion. And another point to be added to the evolution side is that by taking God out of the creation equation, we as human no longer have a higher authority to be held accountable to for our actions. If anyone would like to do an in-depth study of exactly what happen when they took God out of the schools you will be amazed!! My Dad did this many years ago and the numbers and statistics are unreal!!
Also, as far as most of the evolution believers on Yahoo Answers, one proven law of Science is the Scientific Law of Biogenesis and no one has very been able to do anything with it. (well except for one person who told me that that is not 'real' science anymore and the person who also didn't want to hear about the 1st and 2nd Law of Thermodynamics which both refute evolution at it's very core. I guess when the truth hurts...you just deny it? and that makes it not true???)
And why is the evolutionary Geological Column NOT found ANYWHERE in the world as it is shown in all the school books?
PS I have a Biology degree and was taught both evolution and creation and am called ignorant as well as a host of other names because of what I believe....so.....Thank Jesus =)

so god made earth and what about all the life in the universe when we find it, or did they get created by someone else?
lets also argue that most christians argue that the earth is only 6,000 to 10,000 years old when modern civilization has been around for well over that and by that i mean domesticated animals alone.
or how many times has the bible been revised and edited to fit the times people keep on finding new books of the bible every so often that how can someone say that the bible is correct.
also there have been specimens found that DO link one animal to another and personally people tend to believe in hard facts more so then someone they cant see.
but to continue one with the first answer so when E.T. comes down and says "baw weep granaw weep niniba" or you going to finally understand you might have been wrong.
and by the way if you need further evidence about a nice debate take a look at "the scoops monkey trial", or better yet read about Mr. Charles Darwin and evolution before ranting with lies, but if you want to talk about intelligent creation give undeniable proof that GOD does exist like some hair or bloood that can be tested "o wait you cant. hes imaginary"

Wow! So many uneducated answers here. Evolutionists try so hard to discredit creation and our Creator. They come up with long, drawn out, silly reasons to defend evolution. Millions of years? How? By carbon testing? Any scientist will tell you that it's not reliable but it is still being used as a tool to bring lies to the masses. Yet, here we have proof of God all the time. We are walking and talking living proof. There are archaeological digs that bring up proof of things said in the bible. The bible also says that many men will exchange the truth for a lie. Isn't that so true of the evolutionists? It's so hard to accept the fact that God is out there and loves them enough to bring them into this world. Darwin was a Christian as a child. Many incidents occurred in his life, the last one being that he lost his beloved daughter to illness, after that, he decided that he would not believe in God anymore. He started down a different route. On his deathbed, he had remorse that he had led so many people down a wrong road of believing. He didn't really believe in this theory of evolution but believed in the one and true Living God. He was afraid of where he was going and he repented of his sins. Of course, you would never hear about this because it relates to a man believing in Christ. Darwin wasn't even a true scientist. No proof of creation or the bible? In Iraq or Iran, I can't remember which, there is evidence being hidden every day, guarded with machine guns so that people won't find out that the bible is true. You would have to risk your life to get to those places. What about evidence that God is real and the artifacts that are found and coincide with the bible. There is plenty of proof that God is alive and well. Do your research. Of course, that may be too much work for you as you only mock and only believe in what you're taught in schools. It's so easy to believe what is set before you, there's no work or thinking involved. You don't seem to go any further than that. Too hard for you scholars I suppose. Then in that case, I do believe that your schooling is a waste as was mentioned in another post. It is a waste because your minds are still not open to researching the Truth. There is plenty of proof that God created the world. You just need to find it. Some of it needs faith but that takes work too. Much too difficult for the simple mind such as yours. Jesus is alive and well. So is Creation.
To the young lady who wrote the question, you are right. There is proof that evolution is a lie and that creation is the real deal. Keep up the good work in refuting so-called scientific proof. May our Lord Jesus continue to bless you and the calling you have in bringing light and truth to those God loves and wants to have a relationship with even if they don't realize that He does.

None of those statements is true. Except number 1, technically, but if you look specifically at biologists you'll find that the overwhelming majority accept evolution.
By the way, saying that evolution is 'less probable' than creation is ridiculous. Probabilities relate to what is actually possible. Therefore any kind of supernatural intervention has a probability of 0 by definition.
As for why creationists appear crazy, think about it. You're saying that there's 'proof' that we were created by your God, but that we're ignoring it. Why the hell would we do that? What possible motivation could we have for believing evolution over creation if the latter has more evidence? Your motivation is obvious; you want creationism to be true. We don't have the same subjective attachment to evolution. If I were to find logically consistent, scientifically verifiable proof of creationism, I'd be extremely happy about it. I certainly wouldn't deny it. Could you honestly say the same thing about evolution?
Also citing irrelevant Biblical passages in a discussion about evolution/creationism does seem a little crazy.
You say those vague prophecies 'prove' the Bible's accuracy. If that's your standard of proof, then I assure you evolution has been proven a thousand times over.

Well, there is proof that there is evolution. However, since science can make no comment on the supernatural, it CANNOT say one way or another whether God exists. Yes, it is possible that God used evolution. Just because there has been evolution (within species) does NOT mean there is no God.
I think many atheists forget this. Science shouldn't be used to prove whether there's a God or not. God is very much outside of observable science.
Just a sidenote, though, there is no proof that we came from bacteria, or from single-celled organisms. And even if we DID, it still doesn't prove that there's no God.

Scientists don't deal with "irrefutable proof", only with "supporting evidence". There is such a tremendous amount of supporting evidence for biological evolution that it can, for all practical purposes, be considered a fact, even though it is technically a "theory". The same is true of the existence of atoms. This hasn't been "irrefutably proven", yet atomic THEORY forms the entire foundation of modern science, because it is so thoroughly supported by evidence. Just like biological evolution.
Incidentally, the fact of biological evolution does not oppose the fact of intelligent design. Who but God could have designed a system so beautifully complex andincredibly intricate, that would allow the organisms He created to constantly remain perfectly adapted to an ever changing environment!

You're funny. Or is that pathetic? I mix them up where your type is concerned.
How does a biblical prophecy, shown to be inaccurate above, of the fall of some city prove creation or disprove evolution? Just curious as to your logic along those lines.

In science there is no proof, just evidence - proof is a concept from logic and math.
* Over 99.8% of scientists in relevant fields accept evolution
* There is a staggering amount of evidence for it, and zero evidence against it.
* The "debate" only takes place in backward countries like Turkey and parts of the united states
* The "debate" consists of educate people trying to educate others.
* It's almost always christians that reject evolution.
* ... partly because many of them are unable to tell the difference between their opinions and facts.
* The more educated a person is, the more likely they are to understand - and accept - evolution.
* Many christians are able to understand and accept it.
So basically...
1. Evolution if every much a fact as gravity.
2. You don't know if your god even EXISTS - that's why you have faith, right? Claiming you know for a fact that a god (and, specifically, your particular one) created the world (universe?) is an untruth.

of course there is no irrefutable proof of evolution, unless you want to count natural selection, which is evolution on a small scale and basically common sense. science is simply there to answer questions without having to rely on a supernatural explanation. proper science doesnt claim to have the right answer because we cant possibly know how we came to be. we only know what we can see; the rest is theory that only requires one piece of evidence that says otherwise to throw it off completely. your problem is your inability to find anything outside of the bible and pure philosophy that says creation is true... yet.

Nice rant.
ADDENDA
"I'm actually very interested in this field and know about both."
I see no proof of either. The evidence shows a closed-minded creationist looking for a soapbox.
"Sometimes, creationists look crazy "
A tradition you seem determined to perpetuate with your continued ranting. Your latest diatribe demonstrates nothing of your grasp (however limited it may be) of evolution, nor does it show a particularly astute grasp of reality or history. The "sacking" of Tyre involved no great prognostication. The city was attacked and overrun on a regular basis by many: Egypt and Phoenicia for five years, Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar) for thirteen years (unsuccessfully), Persia, Alexander the Great and, later, one of his former generals, and Rome. Despite your claims to the contrary, the city remained an important commercial center until the Christian era.
You will note that your so-called prophecy was that Nebuchadnezzar (Babylon) would raze the city. He failed. Seems like a miss in the prophetic visions, there. So much for biblical perfection...
Wanna try again?
