Here's an easy concept for you: the religion "christianity" obviously exists. What we don't believe in is the dogma and tenets of it.

This has puzzled me. After all according to each group of Christians - they are the only 'true' Christians.

And the arguments rage all over the 'Christian' world. And if entering heaven is based on this - there is going to be one HELL of an argument outside those perliy gates.

Oh and by the way - if we are going on numbers for truth then there are more Chinese in the world than any other group of people. So the life style of the Chinese is the true life style?

I really doubt most of the Christians in here even agree with themselves on many very important issues-- other than trying to fight off the mockers, athiests and others. You might say that the 'Christians' in here are just as much fighting as those who are not...

First of all, some people (myself included) criticize Christianity because it was built upon a false foundation -- namely, Plato's Idealism and Aristotle's Solipsism. It was also been proved -- using vacuum tube technology -- that all thoughts, memories, emotions, and perceptions originate in the neurological structures of a self-contained living brain. Please understand that people who criticize are motivated by a desire to be factual and truthful. People who mock, do so because ignorant ridicule gives them a false sense of intellectual superiority. There is a huge difference between intelligent criticism and ignorant ridicule (mocking) that believers, such as yourself, apparently cannot appreciate.

Secondly, the fact that a few mock and many criticise Christianity is NOT proof of its validity -- not by any means. That so many are advancing reasonable criticisms should make it obvious to you that there is something seriously wrong with your thinking. You are certainly entitled to your own opinions and beliefs, whatever they may be. If you keep them to yourself, no person will ever mock or even criticise you. However, when Christians promote their unverifiable beliefs as if they were facts, and especially if they organize to have those beliefs forced into the law of the land, you have opened yourselves to reasonable criticism. I suggest you will be much happier if you think of those criticisms as simply the price of religious liberty in the land of the free.

This is simple; there are non-believers and believers. There are those that will always make fun of Christians, however the test is for these Christians when it happens. Do we handle it as Christ would have handled it or do we attack?

Do not worry about those who mock Christ and His followers but instead pray for them.

Good point....there must be something of interest in Christianity in order to "mock" them...otherwise, they would just be totally ignored. Must be the reason for all the ugliness on R&S. People DO want something....sometimes they just don't know what it is and they feel the need to put down what they do not understand.

There may be some 'Christians' here who are not so brainwashed that they cannot think anymore. Or children who are still open minded.

If I can make one person see that the hate and bigotry that is supposedly the "word" of some biblical monster is total bull$hit than I have helped someone have a better life.
