which sect of Islam should America convert to?
If it is Shiaa, then we will still have to war with the Sunni, and vice versa.
What if we converted to liberal Islam, then he would still want us dead. Maybe Orthodox, but which one?
Does anyone else see that even if we all converted to Islam, by reason of the different sects of this religion, we would all be forced to kill each other for being too extreme not extreme enough, or whatever.
Apparently, Islam might not be the solution for bringing peace to the earth that Muslims say it is.
You know, if they stopped killing each other and us, maybe they would have a better effetc in the PR department.

As if! So if we did that, and in the next video bin Laden piles up more demands that we must worship him, instead of Muhammad, should we then bend again to his demands again? And then if he demands that we turn the US into an Islamic state should we go along with that to please him?

Besides the fact that the US does not give in to terrorist demands, Christians would never turn away from God & Jesus under threat or persecution. We live in a free country. We sure aren't going to give up our freedom of religion (or no religion) to the orders of a radical extremist.

but to answer it anyway ... A theocracy is a failed system. I am a christian and I believe that both should not mix ... why should islam be any different?

This is a genius solution. We can save a lot of money and American lives by simply converting to Islam. It won't be so bad. President Bush makes an announcement that we are now an Islamic nation, we all pray 5 times a day and the women wear burkas. Then they will give us all their oil for cheap. I'm down with that, sign me up!

Isn't it time that Muslim countries return to a real ideal of tolerance of other religions and come to practice the civil equality of non Muslims with Muslims that Muslims demand of Non Muslim societies?

Have you read about the Coptic Christian Ramses Brothers who are being forced by law to "convert" to Islam because their father abandoned his wife to marry a Muslima(and he had to "convert" to Islam).? These brothers are being thrown out of secondary school because they will not abandon Christ.

Imagine the riots if a Non Muslim society legislated that all Muslim children of someone who converted to another religion had to abandon Islamic practice and identity?

Al Q didn't attack us to get the US to convert to Islam. They attacked us due to the death of their own citizens in their area due to our intervention in the Israeli/Palestian conflict and the deaths of 500,000+ children in Iraq due to the sanctions (we helped arm Hussein then punished the innocent for him having the weapons he did).
