Wearing an apron is a badge of Honor, I've worn one since my mom put a tea-towel around my waist, I'm 55 now and my apron's are what my Friends come to see, I have over 50 apron's LOUD and PROUD in every pattern you can imagine. Tie that bad-boy on and ask one question, "Who's hungry".

You really shouldn't be embarrased at all.
Maybe you can try and buy one that you feel really confident with. But really a lot of people wear aprons even guys and they're great chefs!

I don't like wearing an apron either. So i just put on some old clothes that i have no problem in getting messed up, and away i go.

There are communities in each and every city. Freemasons are established people who purely have an 'apron' factor! None of them prepare dinner the two! apart from the %factor...you sound purely like them!...and that's sturdy isn't it?

I think most people would think "why is he embarrassed?"
so that's your problem solved - it's not weird for a man to wear an apron - unless it's pink and frilly.
You have absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about because most people wouldn't give it a second thought that you are wearing one....

There's always a chef's coat, but nothing wrong with an apron.

Don't be ashamed. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Plenty of people wear them.
