Q: What is the "true contradiction" in the Bible?"
===

There are many "true contradictions" in the Bible. Each of them no more important than the next. But one that I think every person must be aware of is that a RECORD of the gospel is not the GOSPEL itself! The Gospel itself is completely independent from any record of it! I hope you can understand the lattitude of this concept.

It is the tradition of "Christians" to regard the Bible as THE GOSPEL, and not for what it truly is: A RECORD of the Gospel. To illustrate my point, may I ask where was the Bible when Jesus was in his childhood? Where was the Bible when Jesus' body lay in the tomb for 3 days? Where was the Bible during the war in heaven?

The truth is, the Bible of itself did not exist until well after Jesus and the Saints were overtaken by mob rule and apostasy. Then, from the hands of corrupt men who were never called of God to preserve scripture, the Bible comes into existence from the efforts of men to collect as many scripts and books, which they in their learning believed were authentic? Later to be translated from one tongue to another, assuming the translation process would not be detrimental to the authenticity of the teachings?

Right...

The only authorized way to preserve the scriptures of God's holy prophets, and thus the "records" of the Gospel, which are not the Gospel itself, would be to keep those scriptures in the possession of the prophets. As soon as those writings left the possession of God's authorized servants, there stands the fateful risk of the scriptures ever after becoming defiled and lost.

And this to me is one of the great contradictions of the Bible: That it has been created by learning of men to deceive the world into thinking it is a valid work of God, somewho possessing the POWER to be the ONLY WORD of God that cannot be wrong no matter what.

While it is true that we acknowledge God as being infallible, a record of the gospel (or in other words, a record of God's dealings with a nation or two, or ten, or even a hundred) has no authority to claim that it is the record of God's dealings with ALL nations. For the Gospel is independent to any records that are made to describe it, or teach it, or testify of it.

He writes: “Become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning. For if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself, and off he goes and immediately forgets what sort of man he is. But he who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and who persists in it, this man, because he has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, will be happy in his doing it.”—Jas. 1:22-25

The Bible is full of true contradictions. There isn't only one.

The first answer is equivalent to, "If you find a contradiction in the Bible, it's logic that's at fault."
