I believe humanity is the root cause of all human problems today and always.

Yes I do, because everything evil comes from Satan, he is like a roaring lion seeking to devour all that is good in us. Evil is temptation in us from Satan to do bad. James 1:13-14 says When tempted no one should say " God has tempted me ." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. but each one is tempted when by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
It is pretty clear to me where our problems come from, if he had not tempted Eve into eating that apple none of this would have ever happened, he is the beginning of the mess we are in now. I also believe we are in the last times and this is also a sign of that happening. My family welcomes Christ return when all of our "problems" will go away.

Nope, man and nature are the cause.

I believe that evil and good reside within people, not churches or gods or satan's.

To blame your woes on satan is a cop out, satan doesn't make you steal, satan doesn't make you walk off your job without notice, satan does not molest children.

People do.

Satan and god are just made up beliefs to make sheep feel better about their ultimate death, and to pass the buck when their own bad decisions (or bad luck) come and bite them in the butt.

Added later: I'm sorry I just have to say something, the word is TEMPTS people! NOT temps. Temps are contract employees, not enticements.

Luke 10:18 Jesus replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven."
Since he fell from heaven, then he must have hit the ground of the earth right. Satan is here and using more and more of his evil strength to recruit "human devils".
But we have hope and Jesus is coming soon. Armageddon was promised and it will happen. Everyday as I think about it, I will remember to tell Jesus of that promise.
Jesus said, "Behold, I am coming soon! Yes, I am coming soon."
And I reply, "Yes, come Lord Jesus!" Amen & Amen
I will say that promise to come off my tongue everyday (or as I remember too). Because it is also said that what comes out of our mouth (our words) is what will make things happen. I am not selfish for wanting Armageddon to come because if people didn't get it by now (what is true), then they will never get even if another century goes by. I believe in Jesus and I know "soon" is right upon us.

Do you know what a "tap root" is? It is the longest going almost straight down. But, there maybe 100s of "little" roots of different sizes, some bigger than the tap.

Satan may be the "tap root", but man is all the others. We must accept responsibility for our own mess.

Obviously Not. Driving drunk and killing someone cannot be Blamed on Satan. Being Imperfect does make it likely that we will make problems for ourselves, and much of the issues that we face stem from Selfishness and Greed. No one wants to take responsibility anymore for Mistakes.

You said "root cause"...Yes.
Of course mankind has dominated mankind to his own injury;
but U said "Root Cause."
I thought of the roots of a plant,
there is 1 main root,
then many others leading off of this main artery.
Thinking of it like that may help.

I then read what qrnlow said... that's an even better analogy.

No, I think its a character used to blame the problems on, rather than anyone taking responsibility for their own actions.

I believe this because people find it easier to blame someone else if they've made a mistake, rather than own up to it and accept the consequences.

No. I don't believe in the christian idea of the devil at all. He's a handy scapegoat for all the negative things that affect us. People need to take responsibility for their own actions and realize that we are our own worst enemy.

No, our free will (nafs) also plays a huge role in it. We have a choice to engage in something or not. When we make a decision to engage in something that harms the society I believe it is only us doing that not the Satan.
