The rash started on my wrist as a big puffy misquito looking thing. Then when I looked down at my legs, my upper thighs were covered with what looked like bites. It spread down my leg. Then a few hours later, I went to sleep, woke up and it was gone. It reappeared about 5 hours later, this time starting at my breast, spreading around the sides of my waist, and then continuing down my legs. This time it was worse, teh misquito looking bumps began to connect and I had huge puffy marks on my breasts, hips and stomach, and legs. This continued for 4 days. Then it went away for 3 days. Now it is back again. They start as red spots and then grow into puffy spots. They only itch every hear and there. I have no idea what this is, feel slightly out of breath and have had a bad headache for a while associated with pain in my upper back, and sharp pains in my lower. Can someone please give me maybe an idea or suggestion?

I really am trying not to go to the doctor because it will cost me a lot of money. I am just trying to get ideas to see if I should just wait and see or if it is something more serious.

You are showing classic signs of an allergic reaction. The rash you describe is hives, and they will come and go depending on the exposure you have to the offending allergen. Get some OTC Benedril or any type of antihistamine, it will help with the hives. Pay attention to what you are eating and using on your skin so if you break out again, you will be able to figure out what's making you allergic. I've known people to break out in hives when eating certain fruits, like strawberries.

If you live in an area where deer ticks are endemic, you may have lime disease. It causes a "Target" like rash that can come and go. You need to get it checked out. Antibiotics can be Rx. to treat it (Doxycycline). Otherwise, yes it could be a contact allergy, and every once in awhile you come in contact with something that you are allergic to. Either way, please go to the doctor and get checked out...Good Luck!

Skin disease is becoming more prominent now. The researchers are unable to keep up with it. Keep a VERY close eye on it. Some skin diseases are incurable. The average dermatologist won't "get it" & when you go to a more advanced one, they won't either. Johns Hopkins Hospital is a good resource, the Tropical Disease area. That's all I know, but good luck. Email anytime.

It could be a skin condition like eczema or psoriasis, a reaction to bug bites, or an allergic reaction. You'll need to see a doctor to find out which.
