...are Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and all the rest of it that I don't know the name of, going to Hell?
IN MY OPINION (which I'm entitled to), the bible should be filed under Fantasy in bookshops. It's completely invented, there's no proof of any of it, when was the last time god came down and held a meeting? He has the power to come to earth and chat to you all, but unfortunately he's neglecting his fans. No one likes a Hollywood star who won't sign autographs so why carry on supporting god if he won't show his face?

I'm ready for a load of abuse, so bring it!! I'm a nice girl, interested in finding out what others believe in and why they do, so if you could consider that I'm from a non-religious background, just coming here to ask questions and learn why you think what you think, then I'm sure you'll see there's no need to tell me I'm nasty and evil and wrong. I'm only interested.

"god bless the pope" (I hope that's a joke name!) - when did I say I considered myself intelligent? I did I search for the word Intelligent throughout my question just to double check, and nope, it's not there.

Well, my fantasy is that one day (far, far in the future, unfortunately... but who knows?) the world will be populated by thinking people like you, me and 'silver tongue'. We will search for truth, respect and harmony without expecting to know it all immediately.
Brown paper bag time, perhaps, but that's how I feel.

Your a joke. How come you havent commented about hindus beliefs, or buddhists, who Im sure have thir opinions about other religions. Typical - the christian gets the grief. Why? Cuz we have the truth and yes they are going to hell ( and so will you and your not religious) if you dont change your ways.
Your opinion is meaningless. The only one that will be neglected is you!! Were not obsessive fans - believers. Dont bring fool fool hollywood "celebs" into this. they are mere humans who are meaningless anyway. They make money off us - God dont ask us for money, just a willing soul.
Why dont you go and post on the celebrity section ort something?

You're obviously taking life far too seriously. Life is God's little joke. You might not like his sense of humour, but go along with it - the punch line is worth the wait.
As for the Bible being fantasy - some of it is. The Bible is a collection of writing, some a couple of thousand years old and some much older. Christians believe that the people who wrote it were divinely inspired. You don't - but that's because you're not a Christian. It's still worth a read because it's the collection of the wisdom of different cultures over a long period of time. Once you've read it, then you can criticise it.
And God has come to Earth. That's what Christianity is all about. He doesn't neglect his fans, and if you'd like to see his autograph, look in a mirror.

Go Lola Go Lola. Finally someone else who believes the same things that I do. Remember that game when we were kids when you told one person something and then they passed it down the line. When it got to the end the statement or sentence was something totally different from what I had originally said. I think that the same thing happened to the Bible. God may have told someone something a long time ago but then it got passed down orally until some guy decided to write what he thought was said down. so basically the bible is this guys version of what he thought he was told and it is full of his opinions, beliefs, and prejudice. Just my opinion.

The only hell is right here on earth, there is no devil in a red suit. However, I do believe in God & God certainly hasn't neglected me as I often ask God a question & receive the answer. I also believe there is a mother & a father God, but the feminine principle has been supressed & ignored in our western culture for many centuries as men wanted to control women. I agree with you about the bible though, as it wasn't written by God it was written by man & has been translated & changed so many times that it is probably far from what was originally written anyway. I find a lot of it to be outdated & frankly ridiculous & I think people just use it as an excuse to make up stupid rules for society. The bible has always been a method of control of the masses, but nowadays people are wisely beginning to question it. No doubt people will criticise you, but you are entitled to believe whatever you want. There is no right or wrong belief system anyway.

it is the doctrine of every religion, to condemn any other theory. theism in itself is flawed through the fact that theism is theory, Someone Else's, theory! the people who sign up to such ignorance and blind faith, are the weak minded of our civilisation, usually the ones that are afraid to live, never mind die. blind faith is the fundamental cornerstone of religion, that means to sign up to any of the divers organisations, you have to first close your eyes and ears, to reason! The reason why people do this, is to try and find some sort of comfort within this life, via living their lives in a bubble, and by fear of death, via buying into the dream of heaven. We all want to find comfort in this, ever worsening, world of ours, but they choose to do through the lies of the church. What they don't seem to understand, is, that you can feel, love and take comfort from a God, without signing on to religion. Now when I say religion, I mean the Bible, the Papacy and the beurocrats of the church oganisations, these are the tools and councils that the church use to subjugate your free will, then they use your will to subjugate and convert others. The fact that so many millions of people throughout the world and ages, have died under the banner of religion, should speak volumes to them, but they don't see it, for their eyes are still pressed shut, they can not hear the cries of the foresaken, they do not comprehend that, their version of salvation, comes at a huge cost; the sale of their conscience/soul.
one day I hope they realise, that the church stands AGAINST, everything that they think it stands for. that the religious ruling classes, work against them in thier quest for enlightenment, what they see as salvation, is really damnation.
I am sure that one Christian out there will find what I said unappealing, thus this answer will be reported, though in doing this they would have answered your question and proved my theory.

God does show Himself, I met Him and I know Him, and that's true for millions of Christians. As for proof of the Bible, there's plenty. If you want to make an intelligent point, get your facts by reading 'why trust the Bible' by Amy Orr-Ewing, who is educated to a high level through Oxford University. Check out the real facts, not just what you have heard. Try this website too.

It's not extensive and not as good as that book but it's a start

Are you saying that there is no proof just because you don't have any?
If so, then there's no proof of many things because you don't have any.
God has meetings with people all of the time! I guess you weren't invited. I can tell you that the Holy Spirit was promised, and God delivered on the promise. I am one who testifies of the Holy Spirit and I will say to you that only those who trust Him get the Holy Spirit, not those who trash Him and His word all of the time! God has better things to do than to worry about those in rebellion to Him, so come on! He's God! He has selected people on the Earth to go His way, they have the capability because He gives it to them.
So please, end this assumption you made. Even if you don't believe in Jesus, you can at least see your faulty logic. You don't have the evidence, so be reasonable and suspend judgment. You don't have to take sides when you obviously don't have the evidence, and yet have so many testifying of the evidence. It would at least be decent of you to be that organized in your head.

Crazy right? You have to be really sick to believe Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists are going to face eternal punishment just because they don't believe in something with no proof and they were raised a certain way. Most of those people are better than a lot of Christians I know. The Christian god doesn't seem very smart.

How do you know God does not chat to his followers??
We are far from neglected. God speaks to people every day and not only to believers. I think the problem is that most people don't listen.
About the first part of your question. I don't think anybody will go to hell for what they did not know. Some Christians do believe that but it's not what the Bible says.
Anyway, you don't need to worry about anybody's salvation but your own.
