Need not inherit eternal life as you are already a spirit and the spirit is eternal. The only thing you have to do is to connect yourself with the devine. Which can be done throught
Sahaja yoga meditation.

The eternal life can be inherited through liberation of one's soul and striving to merge it with the divine. Through returning back to your original state you can re-claim your lost inheritance.

there are two types of eternal life. one is of happiness which is going to be in the heaven with god and that is what all of us want and must try to achieve. the second eternal life is one with only sadness and pain which is in hell. to achieve the eternal life with god, live in gods way, learn and believe in his words, obey the ten commandments, etc....... to get to the eternal life of sadness andd pain, just do the opposite. either way there is an eternal life after our life in this world but u r the one that is to choose which of the eternal life we want. life is what we make.

If you do things keeping in mind an eternal life, you do not get it. Your motive is selfish. Your prayers may not get answered. You do good things without any expectation or help others when they need it, you win an eternal status.

Eternal aliveness is a divine ideal 'inherent' and unique to each authentic Self, that can be difficult to remember over the 'static' of the volatile imprinted ego. It is our purpose for coming here.

To experience "eternal aliveness" is what every human longs for; a sense of fulfillment and purpose, pursuing what we are serious about, experiencing bliss.

My Dear Anil.

You have used the word ''Inherit'' to obtain eternal life.

I think you have used it by mistake.

inherit means the following:

in·her·it /ɪnˈhɛrɪt/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[in-her-it] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–verb (used with object) 1. to take or receive (property, a right, a title, etc.) by succession or will, as an heir: to inherit the family business.
2. to receive as if by succession from predecessors: the problems the new government inherited from its predecessors.
3. to receive (a genetic character) by the transmission of hereditary factors.
4. to succeed (a person) as heir.
5. to receive as one's portion; come into possession of: to inherit his brother's old clothes.
–verb (used without object) 6. to take or receive property or the like by virtue of being heir to it.
7. to receive qualities, powers, duties, etc., as by inheritance (fol. by from).
8. to have succession as heir.

So you are aspiring to get it as a successor to some property like thing.

No, Never.

Eternallife can never be inherited .You have to strive hard with all your energies and intellect in a positive way under the guidance of a Sadguru to realise HIM and Enjoy the Eternal Life.It is purely your own personal thing. No share to any one.All can help you to some extent if they are capable and you receive it.

I wish you realise and feel it soon.God Bless you.

Everyone knows from within, that he is eternally present and will last till eternity. But since we feel intellectuals, we hide the basic truth from even our ownselves, and prefer to consider ourselves as the body.

You need to repent.

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Heb. 9:27

We are judged by the Ten Commandments.

Ever told a lie?
Ever hated anyone? See 1 John 3:15
Ever lusted after someone? See. Matt. 5:27-28
Ever blasphemed?

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10

Lawbreakers go to hell.

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 6:9-10

This is clear and humbling. However God made a way so we wouldn't have to go to hell. Jesus (God in flesh) came to earth, lived a sinless life, and was crucified on our behalf. He rose three days later defeating death and in turn giving us an escape route from hell. But Jesus did command us to repent. That means to turn from sin to God. The perfect example of repentance is found in Psalm 51.

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:3

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

You see when you repent God gives you a new heart and new desires and they are desires to serve Him. As a result you are biblically born again! That my friend is good news!

The Bible also says: “He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life.” Then it adds: “He that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” (John 3:36.) You can show that you are exercising faith in the Son by making changes in your life and bringing it into harmony with God’s will. You must reject any wrong course that you may have been following and take action to do what is pleasing to God. You need to do what the apostle Peter commanded: “Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the person of Jehovah.”—Acts 3:19.

22 May we never forget that it is only by exercising faith in Jesus that we can enjoy everlasting life. (John 6:40; 14:6.) We show that we exercise faith in Jesus by ‘following in his steps closely.’ (1 Peter 2:21) It is vital to imitate Jesus in agreeing to do God’s will and dedicating your life to Jehovah.

Millions now are following the cramped road leading to life. Staying on this cramped road takes real effort! (Matthew 7:13, 14) Paul indicated this in his warmhearted appeal: “Fight the fine fight of the faith, get a firm hold on the everlasting life for which you were called.” Putting up this fight is needed to “get a firm hold on the real life.” (1 Timothy 6:12, 19) That life is not the present life of aches and pains and suffering brought upon us by Adam’s sin. Rather, it is life in God’s new world, which will soon be realized when Christ’s ransom sacrifice is applied in behalf of all lovers of Jehovah God and his Son after this system of things is removed. May all of us choose life—“the real life”—everlasting life in God’s glorious new world.
