Auburn Tiger: "If God could decide"? Blows predestination out of the water, doesn't it? Now we have to re-define it.

Dear kj7gs,

No, we cannot be saved against God's will.

Man is spiritually DEAD in sins and tresppases (Ephesians 2:1). Unsaved man is in the prison house of satan and is in bondage to sin. Christ came to set the captives free. In Isaiah 61:1 we read, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:11, "There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God." No person will seek the Lord. God Himself must draw us as we read in John 6:44, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

God likens mankind to fish which must be caught in a net. That is why we read in Mark 1:17, "And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men."

This is an awesome question. Here is what I think even if it does not matter.

God is only god when those who believe give him/her/it the status in being.

If god was not followed, worshiped, etc., then god could not be god. God may exist but the status of a sacred being would be taken away. God cannot, I believe, grant him/her/itself sacred status.

With all of this in mind god's will would also be nullified because the will is exerted amongst those who believe. However, a vengeful god may look unkindly to this rejection and put forth destruction. But at least one would be free before being eliminated.

In Matthew 19 they were talking about who can enter Heaven and a rich man had asked how to enter heaven and Jesus had told him to give up all and the rich man couldn't and one of the Disciples asked then who can be saved?

Matthew 19:25-26
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

26 aBut Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

So Gods will is that none should perish but have eternal life

2 Peter 3:19

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance

Salvation is yours for the taking. If you can resist temptation, repent for your sins, and do what is right, then you will be saved. God will not save you unless you save yourself. YOU have to put forth the effort. I believe it is God's Will that we all be saved. If you take the first step, He will carry you the rest of the way.

does not God say that your sins would be scattered as far because of the fact the East is from the West? much extra alluring replaced right into a sermon from an extremely gorgeous pastor I as quickly as had. while he replaced right into a youthful cocky seminary pupil he met a woman in his church who reported that she ought to talk to God and get verbal solutions. of direction he replaced into like "yeah ok lady". yet for exciting he requested her if God could tell her what he had finished the summer season in the previous college. He wouldn;t let us know what it replaced into purely that it replaced into something he replaced into very ashamed of. the female got here as much as him the subsequent week and informed him she had requested God approximately it. So of direction he wanted to appreciate if God had ratted him out and requested the female what God had reported. She spoke back, "I overlook". Now this pastor for sure nevertheless wasn't going to declare that this female replaced into some form of prophet in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it did look a consistant answer for Him. i think of this is harder for us to different than forgiveness then this is for God to surely forgive us. i think of it somewhat is unhappy, after all Jesus died so we does no longer ought to rigidity lots approximately it.

It isn't against God's will that you be saved. That's why He sent His only Son to die for you on the cross. If you accept the free gift of Salvation that Christ offers, the Bible describes to us that the very angels will rejoice!

“God created the law of free will, and God created the law of cause and effect. And he himself will not violate the law. We need to be thinking less in terms of what God did and more in terms of whether or not we are following those laws.”

No-one would choose hell, if they believed it was real. By keeping everything hidden, there is no 'free choice' at all.

A free choice requires sufficient knowledge. Further, if you have sufficient knowledge, but there are extreme consequences to the choice made, that also isn't free choice.
