my mom and i went to church every once in a while.. like baptist.
I have been to catholic church, and I'm just not feeling it. Im not comfortable. My husband is soooooooooo stubborn, he wont go anywhere else. He doesnt really know that I miss the teaching that a baptist church gives.. they tell you how to be a better person.. whereas in the catholic church, they would read something in the bible and then its 55 minutes of wierd singing, communion and stuff.
What do i do?

The problem is, with all due respect, you have absolutely clue what goes on at a Catholic Mass. If you did, you would not find it so pointless and boring. If only you understood the Mass, you would "feel it", I guarantee.

This might seem like a shameless plug but I recently finished a series of blog entries on the Catholic Mass. You should check it out:

It will give you an inkling of an idea about what goes on at Mass, and why it is so important.

Make an honest effort to understand the Catholic Mass - and you will see that it is not stubborness that is keeping your husband from considering non-Catholic Christians services.

Go to the church of your choice.

If you only have one car, drop off the husband at mass, or have him drop you off and pick up after.

However, although a lot of denominations look down on all the others, you might want to avoid a church that actively thinks that your husband is going to hell for idol worship, as that is definately going to cause problems with your marriage.

Mass is short for mass confusion. They are confused without even realizing it. They love to go through all the hocus pocus of rituals/confession/sacraments THINKING that saves them. How so terribly wrong they are. You CANNOT earn a free gift. (Ephesians 2 :8,9)
I say, go to the baptist church and pray your husband will want to do the same some day and come worship the Lord with you.

Try a non-denominational church that teaches only the Bible, without all the liturgy. It might be just what you want. And God bless you!

GO! DO what you want to do.

Tell him what you told us.

Then let him go where he wants to go, and you do the same.
Follow your heart.
